Approximately 15 years ago, I became my mother's Caregiver after she came home from Rehab for a major stroke. After working in a Family Medical office for a couple years, I began my Caregiver career. In the past 10+ years, I have worked as a Home Health Aide and CNA, providing many services to families and their loved ones, including (but not limited to) Alzheimers, Dementia, Quadriplegic, and Hospice Care. Services provided include companionship, transportation, meal prep, feeding, light housekeeping, pericare, input/output, taking and recording vitals, catheter care, colostomy care, medication reminders, assistance with bathing, showers, dressing, transfers, wound care maintenance, and oxygen maintenance. My special focus has been with Alzheimer's and Dementia care. I am a CNA and certified in CPR and First Aid, and continue to work on completing additional medical courses and pursue avenues to help strengthen me as a Professional Caregiver. I also maintain current Individual Professional Liability Insurance. Your loved ones peace of mind, comfort and health is my priority.

St. Elizabeth Hospice for 8 years providing Palliative, Respite and End of life care in the patients home and Inpatient settings. I became a Certified Nurse Assistant my senior year of high school and started working in the nursing home the month i turned 18. I have had my CNA license for a year and have enjoyed working with my residents. I no longer work at the nursing home because i have had to relocate and haven't found anything closer. I would love to get the chance to meet new people and work on a one on one basis with someone and help make their life a little easier. I became a care giver because I have a big heart and i have been told that by many of my former residents. I go above and beyond and will bend backwards to make sure that you or your loved one is PROPERLY taken care of. I have worked with so many people that have taken short cuts and don't care cause at the end of the day its just a job to them. But as for me i know that i am taking care of someone that is trying to live everyday a little more comfortable even though they cant do as much anymore, its not just a job for me. I admit i get attached but thats expected when you spend everyday with someone and know what they like to do and how they like things done. They become family . I look forward to meeting and helping make someones life a little easier and being a part of your family!

I have been involved in a healthcare setting for 20+ years. I have worked in hospital setting, long term care, hospice, home health and doctors offices. I am very passionate about taking care of others. I love doing it, it makes me happy to know that I am providing care for someone in need.

I Feel like I am a great care giver because I go above and beyond to make patients/residents feel special. I like to help people feel independent while providing all the help they may need to get through their day successfully. I feel its important to take time to listen to their wants and needs and I don't look at my care as being " just a job". Its important to me to take well care of anyone, rather it be driving the students home from school, providing care in a dialysis facility, or just providing basic needs to someone . I am a junior Biology major at Northern Kentucky University. I am studying Biology in hopes to attend Physician Assistant school after graduation. I recently got certified as a Kentucky Nurse Aid, and have worked as an in home caregiver for an elderly couple. I really enjoyed staying with them, even though it was such a short amount of time. The wife had a compound wrist fracture, and the husband could not fully care for himself. I learned so much in the 5 short weeks working for them. I am truly passionate about patient care!
