I became a caregiver when my mother became really ill. I took care of her and took her to her doctors appointments and gave her all her medicines. I stayed with her for 19 days until she passed away. I also did the same for my mother in law until she passed. Now I am taking care of my 85 yr old father which has hypertension, diabetes, and dementia. I went to practical nursing school and received my diploma, but did not pass my test to receive my license. I am CPR certified, as well as a CNA. I love to take care of elderly people. I love to sit and talk with them. I love to encourage them to eat all their food. I connect very well with the elderly and they connect with me. I am very loving and understanding and patience. I was the oldest in my nursing program. I had 6 children that I raised on my own, working 2 jobs most of my life. I want to retake my nclex test so I can receive my license and become a LPN.
