I have a bubbly personality. All of my clients absolutely adore me because I communicate with them in terms of what they can do. For example, if a senior client can't walk but is healthy mentally, I tell them that their job is to supervise. I keep it as light and fun as possible in a professional manner. When clients are having a bad day, it's my job to make it better! I love working with seniors and children. I stay in tune to their needs by paying attention and listening. A safe and clean environment is of utmost importance, and I strive to ensure my clients are receiving the best care possible. A \"tailored\" routine, reliable service, good communication, and a good working relationship with the client and family has been the key to my success in this business.
I really enjoy helping the elderly or persons that are stricken with a disease. I consider myself to a very compassionate and caring person. I go beyond the job duty to make the client comfortable and/or entertained throughout their day. I have been drawn to caring for individuals who need extra help since I was very young.
For the past decade, I have assisted aging, ill, and terminal friends and family in all aspects of their daily living to improve their quality of life in any reasonable manner possible. Although my certification expired, I have previously been certified in CPR and will re-certify ASAP. I am quite familiar with medication regimes and am experienced in IM injections, such as those required for a diabetic client, but I am not certified for Intravenous Injection. I have inserviced and provided/administered many forms of occupational and physical therapies for clients and am accomplished in therapeutic massage and pedicures. I provide reading services, am an accomplished Scrabble player, enjoy card games, such as Rummy (but no Poker or Bridge...), and play other board games and enjoy jigsaw puzzles, also. While my Bachelor of Arts is in English, with a minor in Speech Communications, much of my professional work has involved in crisis management and governmental processes so I am very familiar with "Red Tape" and dealing with the requirements of documentation for personal/ medical / and social programs. I am also an accomplished cook and homemaker and if I don't know the recipe or the process, I will locate or take direction for the best possible results in the kitchen, bath, and home. Finally, I am an intelligent, caring woman, raised on a farm in South Louisiana, educated and well-read, have a good and practical sense of humor and a well developed caring mentality, steeped in patience and compassion.
Hello My name is Wendy Chester. I have been taking care of people for 10+years. At one point I was a CNA working at a nursing home. I left that position because my husbands grandmother became ill and I decided to take care of her. Taking care of others is what I have always enjoyed doing. I have been taking care of people in their homes and get a great joy in my heart when I return and see the smile on their face. I am a nonsmoker and have cats and dogs. I have two grown daughters. My oldest just graduated nursing school and my youngest is in nursing school. As you can see we are a family that enjoys taking care of others.
I became a caregiver because I like to help the elderly. I like interacting with them and trying to make them and their family happy. I am proud that in 6 yrs of being a CNA, I haven't had any of accidents, or breakdowns when someone is in my care. I am a very outgoing person and I love to work with people.

I wanted to become a caregiver by the age of 9. I became interested from seeing my mother work in the health field during her younger ages then becoming a home health aide. I'm a very small but strong individual that can deal with many tasks. I'm a very companion and passionate person. I enjoy making others happy and comfortable while I am around . One of my most personal achievements I am proud of is working with an autistic patient and making this individual step out of his comfort zone and becoming social with his surroundings. I love helping others and putting smiles on faces
I became a caregiver because I love helping people. Making life easy and comfortable in your own home. Helping with everyday needs and chores. The thing I love most about being a caregiver is the fact that. Caring for someone other than your self is a blessing. The biggest achievement I am proud of is over coming things in my life. To the point where I want to help others over come things in they life. I'm 39 years old. I have been taking care of other people for over half of my life. I love living I love life and I love helping others live their life to the fullest.
Hello I am a wife to a Veteran, and a mother to 4 children and 1 fur baby. I started caring for my Grandfather several years ago, up until his recent passing. To list a few things I did so you can get an idea. Bed Bathing, Grooming, Denture Care, Hearing Aid, Emptying Catherter & measuring urine, Blood pressure with machine and kept track, Stayed the night with him in hospital and cared for him there as well and called nurse when needed, flipped with help every 2hrs to prevent bed sores, used mouth suction, and more. I decided when he passed that I wanted to care for others the way I cared for him, and that is what lead me to be a Caregiver. I am not a CNA but would love to become one. I have been a stay at home mom for the most part of 12 years and cared for my children while my husband served in the Navy. I worked here and there when I could. Now that my children will be in school this year I am able to work. If you think I would be a great fit please feel free to contact me and we can talk futher. Hope you have a blessed day !!!!
I am a caring and compassionate person. I am patient and kind. I grew up volunteering at the nursing home my mother worked at. I enjoyed getting to know people and hearing their histories. Taking care of my grandmother with Alzheimer's disease taught me patience and sparked an interest in how the mind works. It is vital to know that clients are people trying to have the best quality of life possible. It is a privilege to be the person helping someone to maintain their dignity. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver would be the ability to make the person I take care of feel as independent and happy as possible. To help someone maintain as much function as possible or even improve their daily functioning is an uplifting experience. A personal achievement that I am proud of would be when working with hospice patients, I was able to make their transition comfortable and peaceful. To me, to take care of someone at the end of their life is the greatest privilege of all.
