I am very committed to making a positive difference in all patients' lives that I have worked with. Quite honestly, I think this is the only way I can contribute to the community is to work in the healthcare field, volunteer, and be an excellent support to those in need. I love providing caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. what I love being a caregiver is meeting new people and providing caregiving services that they can no longer do for themselves. I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client’s day, that means a lot to me. It is important to laugh. I have been working at assisting and memory care facilities over 3 years . Now I'm looking home care because I wanted to see home care facilities works and challenge myself in self working environment area.

A great caregiver must be attentive, compassionate and reliable. I became a caregiver because I like helping people and makes difference to their lives. Making a difference in someone's life every day is personal achievement l am proud of.

I am an adult Female that has a good listening ear. I take initiative and I am physically active and strong. I have empathy and I like to put myself in my clients shoe and assist them as I would wish to be assisted, no matter the situation or the circumstances. Even if only to make them smile. That way I feel good that I have assisted and I have accomplished something today. I naturally like helping people and giving them a hand, leaving a person in a better situation than how I found them. For example, I once found a client, depressed and a year long in a wheel chair. Everyday I would encourage her to take a step, even if one. After six months of this practice; she ended up having leg braces and was walking with them plus a cane. No longer in a wheelchair. This is just one of the many achievements, over the years, that I am proud of, in helping different ages, and people from different population, achieve.

What attracted the most to look into this field and to sign me up for CNA school was for my grandparents that I was very close to and who raised me so I did it for them! Because unfortunately, my grandmother was in a nursing home and she was very neglected to the point. Some thing happened to her and she passed away so she gave me my motivation to be where I'm at today.
