Iwas a nanny for 19 years, as I grew idecided to change from taking care of the young ones then I joined Caregiving which I really love to do with all my heart. For the past 15 years, I have dedicated my life to providing quality care to the elderly and others who have expressed their interest in my services. I am familiar with all aspects of patient care and have extensive experience in caring for patients with advanced illnesses such as: Dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson. The decision to go into this field came about after my granddaughter was born and I made the decision to become her Caregiver. I cared for her from birth until her mother made the decision to enroll her in a day care program, and at which time, I decided to focus my attention on taking care of others and joining the Nursing Profession. Because of my past job experiences as a Caregiver and a Senior Care Provider, which I combined with my course work, I am very confident that I can provide excellent services to all clients. I have enhanced my ability to providing compassionate and dedicated care to others and have worked diligently to provide excellence in all my professional endeavors and, have earned a reputation for my results driven work ethic; I have also received frequent commendations from patients and their families for providing exceptional care and have received employee awards for dedication and performance as a caregiver, because caring for others has always been my passion since childhood.

I became a caregiver because I believe it is in my nature and I am compassionate about helping others. I like being a caregiver because no matter how hard I may work or how my day is going, it doesn't feel like work. I would like to help others by doing what I like. I am a mother of four, very energetic and friendly. I recently left my position full time for a major dialysis company in downtown Baltimore and have been in healthcare for a while and started working for Catholic Charities in May 2017, part time on the weekends. I am hoping to start nursing school fall 2017 and would prefer to work overnight Monday thru Wednesday or Thursday but I have open availability and flexibility with my schedule. My personal achievements that I'm honestly most proud of are my children. I am a Certified Nursing Assitant and Cettified Medication Technician through the Maryland Board of Nursing. I am also CPR and First Aid certified.

I'm a dedicated person that cared for my grandmother while she was bedridden for years. Also I've had several personal clients whom I worked for. It would be my pleasure to be able to share an provide my skills to such families an client's that's looking for the needs of assisting bathing an grooming, errands prepare meals assist with medication reminder, light housekeeping transfer mobility,toileting an excellent communication work skills,outstanding companionship and being a punctual worker that's willing to achieve putting a smile on someone's face. I took care of my sick mother until she passed away. Later, a friend introduced me to the field of caregiving. Though I had formerly been a school teacher, caregiving fit like a glove. A client once asked me why I chose this profession, and I told her that I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. I offer personal care, housekeeping services, and companionship. When my client was dying, I held her hand the entire time, not knowing that the daughter had entered the room and observed my action. After her death I received a note from the daughter describing how she had been touched by my action. As a former teacher, I am punctual, compassionate, empathetic, and sentimental; I laugh and cry with my clients. My current job involves caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. I have recently been providing a client with personal hygiene in the morning through CareLinx.

I'm a patient and compassionate person, I love to be around elderly. They are very smart and full of wisdom. I feel like I'm the lucky one to be with them and help them through this step of life. Even when they rejected me, I never took it personal and tried to understand them. I have been taking care of my mother in law for 6 years and I'm happy and proud to say that caregiving is a big personal accomplishment, and I'm proud of my resourcefulness, flexibility and determination.
