I became a caregiver because of my passion for the job as well as making a living. being a caregiver is a selfless act and it means giving your all to make your clients comfortable and happy. I have a singular aim of seeing myself grow in the health sector and always making my clients feel loved. My clients will say I am loving ,compassionate and dependable.

I became a caregiver because I love working and taking care for the elderly. Since my 8 years experience in the nursing field, my clients and their family love my care. I see my patience as my own family member. I treat my patience as myself because the way I want to be treated that is the same way I treat my client. Being a caregiver for 8 years has helped me in so many ways, I have worked in Hospitals, Nursing home Facilities, Private Duty, etc. I love what I do in helping each client I've ever worked with. Taking care of sick people that needs my help gives me joy in my heart and it let me know they need people to work with them that care. My personal achievement that am proud of was able to get my four years degree. I am honest, caring, patient, and love cooking.

I have build strong relationships with all of my past patients and hope to make more. I also love the feeling of knowing that I am needed to help better someones life. 3) One personal achievement that I am proud of was being able to effectively change a particular patients life around. When I first met this particular patient he was a diabetic with high blood pressure, dementia and other illnesses. He was a non active, detached individual who didn't speak much. After working him for a couple of months he changed completely. He was then full of life, and didn't need his insulin and blood pressure pills anymore. From this experience I felt like I've made an irreplaceable bond that'll never be forgotten. 4) I am a very hardworking person with a doggedly determined mindset. I make sure that all aspects of the job are done and that the patient and their family are content at the same time. I am also an understanding, flexible, loving and euphoric person that's strives for a happy work environment.

I'm humble, loving, caring and take my walk very seriously. I love to smile a lot and very patient with any body especially my clients. I don't mind in assisting to do domestic households work.

Being a care giver is like a mission to me. I'm in a mission to make people feel good about themselves even when they are ashamed of their appearance. In a mission to make them smile in the midst of their suffering. To help them having a peaceful end of life by singing for the ones who want me to, or simply smiling and holding their hands. I know that I have been doing a great job when family members called me and said:" thank you for taking care of my mom. You are a blessing for us" and still keep in touch with me. That makes me beleive that I'am doing something good.

I have been working in the personal care profession for quite some time now. I am a compassionate person and enjoy caregiving very much. It gives me great satisfaction to think that I am of help to someone and the job actually enables me to make a difference daily in the lives of my clients. I am a sociable person with a natural capability of providing continuous care. Empathy is embedded in my personality and I’m a good listener. Being an experienced caregiver I am familiar with the job and immensely enjoy each day at work.

I became a caregiver solely on the simple fact of trying to be like my mother at first. But it was soon after I begin my first job at 17 years old that I found I really have a passion for helping people. The look of gratitude and appreciation that comes from the people you take care of surpasses any other amount of money or material satisfaction that I could have imagined. A lot of people chose to be in the health field because it pays well, but if you don't have a passion for what you are doing, it is pointless. I care for others as if they are my own family. I love to talk and get to know my clients so we can both come to a comfortable understanding of each other. A personal achievement of mine I am proud of is continuing to further my education. Education is key to understanding a lot about yourself. So I take much joy in my schooling. I am a junior at Coppin State and have been a GNA for the past three years. I love what I do!
