What makes me a great caregiver ? I treat my residents clients or patients like family. What do I mean by family I share my love, respect and make every individual my top priority. Why did I become a caregiver? I chose to become a caregiver because I love people and I love caring for those in need. What do I like about being a caregiver? I love being a caregiver because I love the people and being able to put a smile on each of their faces. What is a personal achievement I am proud of? What I'm most proud of is being able to acquire the skills to make a difference in others lives.

I am a great companion who likes to encourage my clients independence, along with assist them with the things they can no longer do. I became interested in this field as I watched the demise of both grandmothers and wanted to become someone who could be a part of their transition. I mostly enjoy; acknowledging, that people want to go out with dignity; In Addition, being able to give back in a way that will assist them with that. I have had the esteemed pleasure; to work with some well known families and receive accolades for services rendered. Along with being asked to accompany them; on family vacations. The aspect that makes me a caregiver is passion. I became a caregiver from life experience. in one way or the other I have most time found myself rendering help to someone in difficult situation. My experience in this job has been very nourishing, I feel self fulfilled knowing that I am positively impacting at least one life.

I'm a humble, caring , intelligent and hardworking person by nature. What impresses me in care giving job is when you have succeeded making your client happy and fulfilled. What I enjoy being a caregiver is the fact that I put smiles on client face and also when I ended up making a client get well or recover fast from sickness .

I enjoy providing home caregiving services to those who are not able to do so for themselves. It’s a rewarding experience and I am overjoyed helping people in need. The smile on their faces provides me with so much satisfaction, and I enjoy the opportunity to have an impact on their lives. It’s such a great honor to know the client and their families, as well as become an integral part of their lives.

I like helping families breath a sign of relief knowing their love one is being cared for properly. I have received many thank you and hugs from siblings who appreciate the care that's being provided to their parent. I was especially proud when I had to take some time off to care for my sick mother and when I finally came back to the client I was caring for prior to leaving, her son and her daughter was so happy to see me return they gave me a big hug (even the son) and told me they hoped that I would return. The daughter was always tickled because her mother called me her friend.

My experience for caring for seniors has expanded for over 20+ years. I am a 46-year-old single women.This has been a passion of mine for many years helping and working with the seniors. I am very patient and I have a lot of compassion for seniors and there needs. Assisting with walking and light exercise. Plan and prepare meals, followed by clean-up. Monitor food expiration dates, make future meals. Make beds and change linens, as needed. Light housekeeping to include dusting and vacuuming. Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming. Laundry and ironing. Take out garbage. Run errands (pickup prescriptions, dry cleaning). Engage in physical and mental exercises. Provide medication reminders. Escort on appointments (hair salon, physical therapy, etc.). Escort to religious services or events. Maintain calendar and organize mail. Engage in activities (games, memory books). Companionship. Many references upon request.

I'm a 10 yr veteran, of the army. I've been doing healthcare for about 8 yrs. I love working with the elderly. I take my job very seriously. I enjoy the companionship, smile the laughter I provide to the elderly. Seeing there faces an there warm personality that attracts me to them.
