I helped my mom take care of my grandma when I was little, she had her legs amputated. I am very patient in what I do. I love taking care of people and being there when loved one's can't be. I treat my residents the way I would want to be treated also as if they are my own family. I am going to school for my RN.

I've been a certified nursing assistant for about 20 years and I really enjoy taking care of elderly and people that need my assistant I show great respect for them treat them the way that I would like to be treated and if they were my parents or grandparents I give them the dignity and respect that they deserve and make them feel special and proud. I just think that this is my calling to take care of elderly because I know that everyone can't do it and that it's not for everyone.

What makes me a good caregiver is I genuinely care for my clients. I care about their well being and look to make them feel better. When I step into their homes it's no longer about me and the way I feel, everything is geared toward the client. Seeing that smile on their faces make a world of a difference to me because that means I've done my job and my goals have been reached.
