I've been a CNA for 4.5 years and a caregiver for about 2 years. I did care for an elderly lady prior to being certified as a nursing assistant. I've done all activities such as bathing, eating, mobility, dressing, making beds, taking vital signs, etc

I have a long line of care takers in my family so it's always been my passion to help people live their lives to the fullest. It brings me joy to watch the worry fall off their shoulders the minute I walk through the door. Every one of my clients are treated as if they were my own family. I am most proud of my ability to have patients. I have been pushed to my limit several times but I can always remain calm and talk my way through those crisis. I make friends easily but yet manage to stay professional in my work places. I'm a very relaxed and approachable person, I feel that's very important in my field.

I'm a great caregiver because of my ability to provide basic daily living services to my clients/residents with great respect of their rights and proper communication skills with clients with diverse disabilities. I always make sure to follow my clients/residents care plan or mindful instructions from my supervisor in providing the right cares at the right time. I became a caregiver because I had friends with some physical disabilities that I couldn't just standby without helping. Helping my friends helps me build a great passion and feelings that helping people with disabilities and old age folks is a right contribution to the society. I like being a caregiver because it gives me a positive attitude and thinking about my fellow human being regardless of their physical appearance,religion,sex,age, and nationality. I like doing this job because it provides financial independence for me and my family. I'm proud of being a caregiver because I am serving humanity.

I enjoy being around people, I enjoy giving one on one care to people specifically if they are elderly, elderly people enjoy talking about their past I listen well. I enjoy sewing, some outdoor things, cooking, listening to people's past stories they enjoy talking about.

Was raised by my Grandpa in his 80s and had to take care of him as he got older. Have helped take care of people in wheelchairs, Diabetes, completely helpless where I had to cloth, feed and bathe them etc. Have also been in sales and customer service for over 20 yrs

1. My name is Grace and I come from a big Christian family. I was raised in a Village where every one seemed to care for one another. I'm a wife and a proud mother of three, so yes, my caregiving skills start from home/my heart. 2. I love to take care of people because it gives me a good feeling, a sense of satisfaction in my heart and brings me closer to God. 3. I have finally made it in to the nursing school, on the Dean's list while raising 3 young children. 4. I'm a wife and a mother of three and love the LORD. I have worked as a nursing assistant since 1999. The first time I was accepted to nursing school was the year 2000 but decided that the children were a priority. I'm currently in the nursing school and still have a long way to go before graduation. I have cared for people in their homes, nursing homes, assisted living, group homes and hospital. I love what I do because it gives me a great sense of satisfaction.
