I am currently Residential Services Coordinator at Mary T. Inc, and I am a Professional Direct Support Staff, (DSP). Paul Both is so kind, passionate and professional caretaker or giver with Christian rich background knowledge and expertise about how to work and care with Alhzeimer patient. Duties: Scheduling, administration of Medications, appointments and outings in the community. Why I do this job: I have a great passion for suffering people and I have great love to help people from their suffering they might experience because I have been in a great suffering myself when I was in a refugee camps many years ago. I believe I am a great caregiver because I love people, family, Community, and I care deeply for people or about God's people, because I always reminded myself about where I come from and I normally put myself in people's shoes too. Also, I have been working as a nurse assistant, social worker, Missionary, and teacher for many years and I am still doing it currently. I am also a family man and beloved uncle everwhere I go. More importantly, I have the great love, and respect for God and his beloved Son, Jesus Christ and God's people. Above all, making someone day happy and making people smile is my chief goal and my top priority.

I became a caregiver because I love to serve and help the needy. Before I started a job as a caregiver, I volunteered at the Pre-Ops of Sinai hospital in Baltimore forsix (6) hours, 3 days a week.I care about people, I am a very loving and caring person, full of empathy and I am learning so much in this chosen career from my clients. I am full of joy, I love to sing, read them poems and sometimes we dance together. I love to dress them up. We play cards sometime and some of them watch their favorite game show on T.V and cooking is also a delight to me. I have experience working with dementia/Alzheimer's people. They are very special and full of wise knowledge. I enjoy working with the elderly because I learn from them, and they may just learn something from me!! I enjoy listening to their stories. I have been a PCA for 20 plus years for special needs young adults and for the elderly in their homes. I love helping people and trying to make their life easier. The fact that I have done this for 20 plus years I feel I have been able to help many and it feels very rewarding. I was very recently recertified as a Certified Nursing Assistant or what we are actually called now is NAR (Nurse Assistant Registered). I was originally certified as a Nursing Assistant in 1977. I had to take a State Board Test so I am registered through the state of Minnesota. I just took a CPR/FirstAid Class and am now recertified in CPR and First Aid. Young and old have told me they loved having me as much as I enjoyed taking care of them. I do it with respect, kindness and patience and I go into their homes to help them be able to live their lives the way they want or need to and in a way that makes them happy. It's not about doing things my way, but helping them accomplish the way to live that they are accustomed to. Once again, helping people is my passion. I took care of my mother when she had cancer and out of my 7 brothers and sisters and I, my mother wanted me to always be there, she said she just felt more comfortable with me there. As sad and as hard as it was to see my suffer, I enjoyed helping her every minute. A couple years after mom passed, dad got sick and needed strong IV antibiotic 5 times a day and he wanted me to help since I had more available time and I felt comfortable doing it . After a couple days of me being there my dad said to me, "I know exactly what your mother was feeling, I feel more comfortable with you here, you just have the nac and your comfortable and it makes me comfortable". Those are the greatest compliments right there. I enjoy this job very much!

I am very fun and outgoing! I love to be doing things. I love to be outdoors in great weather! I absolutely love helping the elderly and that is why I would make a great caregiver.
