I am a very calm, generally happy person who enjoys singing while I work. I originally accepted a position as housekeeper at Emeritus of Hattiesburg, but discovered that I had a connection with the residents and really enjoyed working with them, so I transitioned to Care giving. Being able to help someone through a difficult day is very rewarding for me.

I am dedicated committed adaptable and well organized i am sincere and poise what got me in to being a caregiver was a close friend of my family had a stroke and was paralyzed on her left side and i took care of her for years what i enjoy most about being a caregiver is just being able to help and see the smiles on there faces to laugh and talk with them i love the elderly population I developed a love for care giving in 2012 when my Godmother suffered an ischemic stroke. I began caring for her and I did so for 4 years until her passing. What I love most about being a caregiver is being able to help someone and see them smile everyday. I am well organized, poised, and adaptable under any circumstances. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the elderly population and will do anything to assist them in any way possible.

I have been in some form of the medical field for 16 years. I am able to chart medications, updates on the patient's well-being, medications taken, and progress. I am BLS/CPR certified and have been an Emergency Medical Responder for 12 years. I enjoy caring for patients and just feel this is my calling as it's the only thing besides being a mother that just felt "natural" to me.
Skills & Certifications: Alzheimer's Disease, Cardiovascular Disorders, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Diabetes, Hospice Care, Multiple Sclerosis, Neurological Disorders

I had actually work with some mentally challenged/handicapped clients in a group home. Once I had been properly trained I've looked forward coming to work just to be some assistance on my off days. What I enjoy most is being more than a caregiver. My personal achievements is when the clients and co-workers are satisfied with my performance.

I became a Caregiver because it's always been in my nature to help people. I knew when I was very young that I specifically wanted to work with the older population. I enjoy my job because it allows me to interact with my residents/patients, I learn about them and their lives, and most importantly I get to help them, and I personally love it. Recently, I had a group of CNA students who we're shadowing me. When their clinicals were done, they all got together and got me a card saying how appreciative they were for all my help. I took that to heart because it made me feel like I helped them by showing them the proper protocol to giving great patient care. I'm a 22 year old mother of a very energetic 2 year old. As all of my jobs have required working with the general public, I'm a huge people person and I get along with just about any and everyone. I love cooking, reading, sudoku puzzles, and planting different flowers, vegetables, and herbs.

when I was growing I didn't have many friends, until this older lady named Betty Dozer, came to me and took a interest in me. she never had any kids, so in way I was her kid. She taught me so many things, but most importantly how to read. she is the reason why I am currently pursuing a degree in therapeutic recreation, so I may work at nursing homes as a activities director. I am very empathetic, and easy to talk to. I love going on walks, playing with animals, and playing bingo. To me a caregiver is to be compassionate, helpful, and understanding. When I interned at Wisteria GArdens for a summer I work with residents to enhance motor, and brain skills. Also I would take them on field trips to walmart, and bass pro. My favorite activity I did with the residents was painting nails, and chatting with the residents.
