I was drawn towards this field when caring for my elderly grandmother and helping my mom through two knee replacements. My goal is to care for every client like they were my own family member. I became a caregiver because I accidentally took a biomedical technology class in high school and after becoming a CNA to get clinical experience I knew this is where I was meant to be. I find that most people my age are very rowdy and I don't care to "party while I'm young" as is often suggested. I like quiet and peace though a one on one conversation and often in smaller groups is always welcome. I find that my calm quiet personality is one that seniors tend to be comfortable with but at the same time silly and energetic enough to chase a toddler around covered in dirt or whatever else.
