I became a caregiver because I was able to take care of my sick mother home for 4 years until it turned into Hospice care at my home. I am trustworthy with training, education, and guidance with caring for families , so they will receive emotional support and are comfortable in their environment. I was a programmer analyst for Keybank, sitting behind a computer just miserable because of lack of human interaction. I had my daughter in 2015 and the amount of time and energy I put into her care made me feel so amazing that I decided I had to do this the rest of my life. "This" being caring for others. It sounds so strange to say but my current residents say to me so astounded at times, "You know...you really care." I know why they say that. In this world we live in people do only what they have to and then they're done with it. I truly am one of a kind and my level of care is exceptional. I am thorough in my care and also efficient with my time. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing that I made another person feel comfortable and took some of the stress that life throws at them away.
