I am a fun and loving caring caregiver. I love having my patients laugh and have a good day. It makes me smiles. I like helping all types of people. I was taking care of an ALS patient just seeing him smile and getting him out and about was the best achievement we had together.

I believe I am a great caregiver because I have empathy,patience and a caring heart. I became a CNA when a client of mine was administered to a long term care facility and I realized while visiting her that this is what I needed to do. What I enjoy most is making them feel safe and happy. I'm proud of the fact that I cared for a families mother for more than 5 years and did my best to make her healthy and happy.

My "first career" consisted in working for the government for 18 years as a contacting officer, which I retired from in 2005. This did not fulfill my needs and passion to be in the healthcare community, which I always secretly longed to do. I pursued a education as a certified nursing assistant and have been in the healthcare field for 7 yrs. I especially love the diversity of taking care of all my patients. I am a great listener and have the passion and determination to treat everyone equally. I have a lot of patience and empathy and try to make all my patients as comfortable as possible. I will treat your loved ones as I would treat my own family. There is no other field of work that makes me feel as whole of a person as healthcare. I especially love to take care of the elderly, as they have so many interesting stories to tell of their lives. I have experience as a certified nursing assistant and a medical assistant., CPR qualified. There is no better feeling than being able to help someone and to make their day a little brighter.

I have become an caregiver to help people that are in need. I love helping people there is no greater feeling. i have worked in nursing homes and private homes. i currently work with hospice and ths is definately my calling

I enjoy caring for the seniors. I have 21 years of experience working in the medical field. I have worked in a dementia unit, hospitals, nursing homes, home health, hospice etc.... Helping others is what I enjoy doing.

1) Why did you decide to become a CNA? •I decided to become a CNA because I have compassion for people who are sick or can't help themselves. I know how it feels to need someone so I feel like it's my job to help people and be there for them. 2) Who is your biggest hero? • God is my biggest hero. Without him I wouldn't have the strength to help anyone! Without him I wouldn't be who I am today. My mom is also my hero as well but nobody is greater than God. 3) What is your favorite food and what do you like to cook. • I don't have a favorite food because I LOVE all foods! I'm from St. Helena Island (Gullah Geechie) so cooking and eating is embedded in my DNA! I love to cook! It's my passion besides nursing and becoming a wife and mother one day. 4) What are your hobbies/activities? • I love to make my own button earrings with different kinds of fabric! I also make body butters and body oils and body scrubs! I love to do DIY crafts! Love to paint and draw! 5) What is the best advise you have ever received and from whom? • The best advise was ," Baby, live life like there is no tomorrow, because tomorrow is never promised!". That came from (at that time ) 97 year old patient! - I also held my license for about five years now! I got it when I was still in high school in the 11th grade, so my heart is into my work ! I am a honest, compassionate person with 11years of experience. I became a Caregiver because of my unique personality. I love to help every one that is around me wheather is physically or emotionally support. I love being a Caregiver because I enjoy the difference i make in peoples life daily and the smiles i put on each and everyone's face when i meet them. Being a Caregiver has thought me different care skills;no matter the condition of an individual everyone should be treated with dignity and respect.

I am a very naturally happy and positive! Constantly working to have and be better! I currently relocated from NY. I am a soft hearted and very kind woman. Extremely trustworthy, and honest! Being a caregiver is most rewarding when I go home at night knowing I gave my patient or resident top notch, quality care. I take my position in the caregiving field very serious and I take pride in my work.

I am a good listener and I show empathy to my resident situation. I like making my residents happy and comfortable, doing little things to make their day better. I love that my residents are always so excited to see me and so relaxed after cleaning them, gives me joy.
