Hello. My name is Toria Gilewala. I have worked within the healthcare industry for over 15 years as a CNA, Direct Support Professional, and Case Manager. I have a strong passion for helping others, and would describe myself, as an advocate for marginalized populations, ambitious, caring, versatile, and hard-working. I became attracted to caregiving after completing a CNA course and clinical rotation (at a local hospital) during my senior year of high school. This experience had a lasting impact on my life, prompting me to work and pursue college degrees within the healthcare industry. My previous work experience consists of working in home health care, hospital, nursing home, and community health center settings, where patient's individual needs varied. The most enjoyable part of being a caregiver is helping to make a difference in the life of others, from different walks of life. A personal achievement I am most proud of is being awarded Employee of the Year by the ETSU College of Nursing.

I am an outgoing and friendly person. I have great communication skills. I love the one on one contact and relationship that I have with my clients in their homes. My mother was a caregiver so I decided to follow in her footsteps. I have 18 years of home health and 11 years of hospice care experience. I'm proud of my personal achievements of obtaining my cna license later in life and making employee of the month on several occasions.

I would be a great caregiver because working with the elderly is my biggest passion. I wanted to become a caregiver because I'm a CNA and wanted to do more private duty work. I enjoy getting to know the people I take care of and being able to brighten their day.

I really like to get to know the family and client to find out exactly what needs are most important for all. I am very patient caring and strong so I can help them work at being as dependent as possible without losing there pride with getting some assistant. I born and raised in marshall. I am just a southern girl who really enjoys working with people who just needs a little help getting thru the day.

I have been a certified nurse assistant for 5 years, I have worked mainly in-home healthcare. I am a quick learner and can pick up on schedules and routines fairly easy. I am patient and caring, nursing is something I have always wanted to pursue.
