Became a caregiver to care for my Father in Law, Hospice trained me and he originally stayed in my home 5 months before passing at 92 years old. Since that time I've stayed with individuals and couples in different settings with different medical conditions. I am empathetic , happy Christian woman; enjoy helping others-giving. My name is Kadisha. I am a veteran from the Air Force Reserve. Before that, I was an Administrative Assistant for 7 years at various facilities, privately owned by a family. During that time, I put in volunteer hours with the activities' staff to ensure the residents had plenty of activities to fill their days. I currently work at a hotel in Boone as a Front Desk Reservationist. I work primarily mornings but cover evening and overnight shifts occasionally. I've always had compassion for caring for others as if they were my own family. I like the fact that I can provide companionship and care to someone I can also listen to and learn new things from. As far as my experience goes, I would say I've also had 7 years experience in caregiving, due to the fact that I've worked in a setting in which the elderly reside and were at times, asked to assist in a capacity outside of my job description, i.e. accompanying someone to the restroom or assisting with a wheelchair transfer. I never minded either of these things because they were always needing to be done in order to help someone. A personal achievement that I am very proud of, is serving my country. That was something I always thought of doing and I finally did it. Once I joined, I knew that I could do anything. I could put my mind, skills and what I've learned from the military into any and every aspect of my life!

I am a student at ASU studying to become a neurosurgeon. I enjoy helping those who are unable to get help due to family issues or cost of treatment through hospitals. My father was a Vet and I started helping him at a young age after losing his leg in Iraq. I pride myself on my work and my ability to keep the family I am helping happy with my services.

Hello! I am the proud mother of two great kids. Now that they are in college, I have more flexibility in my life than I've had in a long time...but sometimes it can be a little too quiet. I have a couple friends who are in-home caretakers and love it for the people they meet and get to know. So far, I've had a few careers...I worked (and still do sometimes) in network television production, I was a 911 operator, I'm a real estate agent, and I'm a writer. I have various experiences and bits of knowledge to draw on!
