I am a 28 yr old caregiver/medication technician I have been in this field for 7yrs. When I was little I loved making sure my grandmother and great grandmother was okay and I always helped them around the house. I wanted to continue doing that when I grew up but also help other people as well. I love being able to help somebody achieve a goal or an activity. It makes my job worth it.

1. Honestly, I became a caregiver not realizing the extent of care that was needed in the field. I observed my mother providing care for my father before he passed, and it was hard for me to see him passing away. Since I have become a caregiver, I understand the quality of care that is needed in order to help rehabilitate those who are dependent upon someone they can trust. 2. In this field,I have learned a lot about myself as a person. I never expected to become educated on the subject of self. I have learned that you should not take life for granted, disabled does not mean that a person is not human and that they want to be treated special because of their disability, how the small things in life mean so much to a person when they are unable to provide for themselves such as: a warm hello, brushing their hair, putting fresh flowers in a vase on the dresser or kitchen table. 3. A personal achievement that makes me proud is that, over the years, I can greet most family members that I have provided care for, and they smile and welcome me with memories of how I touched their lives as a caregiver for their loved ones, or those that I have provided care for to rehabilitate them during their short recovery. 4. What is calming to the mind as a caregiver is, going home that day knowing that you have made a difference in someone else's life. I became a caregiver without realizing what that meant and how much I would love my job. I am proud of what I have learned and understood about working with someone who needs help from another person.

I am retired and active, my background has been in the Human Services field since graduation from college, 20+ years ago. I have had the opportunity to work with adolescents, persons with intellectual disabilities, in group home setting, it gave me great pleasures to assist them with reaching their potential, to learn basic living skills. I am patient, and nurturing, and attentive to details. I enjoy assisting persons with their basic needs, grooming, meal prep, assisting into the community. I also have worked with persons that have mental health issues and am certified as Qualified Mental Health Professional. I have been certified in CPR and First Aid. I do drive and have reliable transportation and a good driving record. I have obtained a background check from Sheriff's office in Fayetteville, NC, and have driving record also. I am a very caring and compassionate person. I am a mother of a very active 13 year old boy whom attends a Christian Academy and is very active in sports. I love the elderly, my grandmother raised me and then she got sick with cancer. That is what drove me to healthcare. I love hearing old stories from my elders and just feeling like I am making a difference in there day and giving them quality of life.

I am very responsible, hardworker, organized and I love to help others. Currently I have been working at home care services helping with bathing, meals, feeding, light housekeeping... I am moving to North Carolina and I'm looking to find a job on this area and I would love to help with all your needed.

I am 21 y/o and graduated in 2015 completing classes for my CNA which landed my working with elderly and disabled people prior to joining the military. Since I was a child I have always had a passion of helping others who could not help themselves completely, I just a soft spot in my heart for someone who needs help that I am capable of providing. I am very social, reliable and out going. I enjoy being able to help other as well as learning from others, as I catch onto learning new things fairly quick.
