I became a caregiver because I love people. I am an emotional being and I understand that everybody experiences life different than I. I became a caregiver once I lost my step dad to cancer, I did not like the way he was treated by his hospice staff. I have been working on my goal to become a RN or a Morgue technicians. I have always been the one to take care of my family members in there time of need so I decided It was time for me to follow my dream. I have currently been in the nursing field for 12 years now. The things that attracted me to wanting to be in the nursing field are when I was a child my grandfather was put on hospice my grandmother kept him at home and had home care nurses in and out. I loved watching what they do and seeing my grandfather so comfortable at the end of life was a good feeling on a sad heart. I[?] also have a passion to help people and give them the care that they need to make their medical experience more enjoyable. I'm a patient, caring and kind woman who loves what she does and make sure each clients needs are met to their personal satisfaction. What I enjoy most about what i do is going above and beyond to make sure each clients needs are met. I also enjoying making the patient and their family are satisfied with the care provided.

I love a home environment and appreciate getting to know one client very well, to provide the best care possible. I've worked in the health field most of my life, and providing care in someone's home is my first choice of any work. I enjoy building a comfortable and reliable routine, this goes a long way in developing peace of mind for the person receiving care and their families. Very important for my own family was that they would be able to remain home for both recovery and end of life care, and that I was able to provide that care.

I have worked in healthcare since 2011. I am mature and work well with clients with behaviors associated with specific diagnosis such as Stroke, brain injuries and other neuro related diagnosis. I have 3 kids over age 13. I am going to school for nursing currently. I have a passion for helping others. I am empathetic, down to other and a humble hard worker. I am dependable, I have reliable transportation, a clean care and am always on time.

I love being a caregiver and am great for this job because I treat each of my clients like family and make sure I care for them and their well being. I like that I can be there for them when family cannot. Each day that I can make clients smile and enjoy their day is a good day.

My name is Christina, I got my CNA certification on February 21st of 2017. I am also a certified medication aide as of August 2019! Both of my certifications are viewable on the DHHS registry for confirmation. I am 20 years old and I graduated from Papillion Lavista north a year early as a junior in 2017. What called me to be a caregiver is my empathy for others and naturally calling to help other people. I became a caregiver when both of my grandparents needed extra help with ADL's and my mother could no longer assist them due to physical ailments that she was experiencing. Later on, it was my mother and father who needed my caregiving for the same assistance. Being a caregiver is my passion. I know, when I leave for the day that my friend is well taken care of and happy because they realize that I will be back tomorrow to be there for them. Over the 30 years that I have been a caregiver, I did obtain my certified nurses assistant license as well as a 40 hour medication aide license and an assisted living administrators license; all remain current. I am a "young " 52 year old woman with two grown children, a son & daughter, both of whom I am very proud.
