I became a caregiver 20 plus years ago because I like working with people and I like making a difference in people's lives. it makes me really happy when I'm working with the elderly or just working with people in general when I know I make a difference in their life. 1. I became a caregiver to help people who need support. I want to build a family and support and its a career that helps other people as well. A job should be something you are happy doing and I find it very rewarding be able to help others. I have always been a person that wants to help others. It is the care and compassion that that you put into the work that is most meaningful. 2. I love the joy of seeing others appreciate the work that I do. Helping others accomplish daily livings activities or tasks they not previously able to complete is one thing I like best about being a caregiver. 3. One achievement I am proud of is being able to balance my work life and my family I am very focused on personal growth so I am continuously achieving personal goals and learning the skills to better help others. 4. I treat my clients as though they are my family. I always put my self in their shoes. The pain they go through everyday, the frustration of they can't get what they want or understand certain things like they used to. I am always on time. I am a team player, flexible,trustworthy, compassionate,hardworking and honest. But all in all I am always available for my clients. I became a caregiver when I took care of my 80 year old grandmother 10 years ago. She couldn't help her self in every aspect of life, this was so frustrating for her. When I gave a helping hand she was so happy that it rejuvenated her. It was a good feeling to see her smile again.
