My name is shaqwan Henry I'm 44 years old I started out being a care giver in 2004 with disabled children in the south jersey area doing childcare I was contacted and asked do I handle care for adults as well at the time I didn't I was only certified to handle children. by 2006 I was certified to care give for adults as well and started to do so working for my self.i love to help people and make money for my family I feel it's a blessing just as well as a job.thats what attracted me to care giving.what I like the most about it is the blessing of being able to help people in need and make a difference in they every day life by making it easy and letting them feel loved and knowing it's people here to help.one of my personal achievements is to send my first child to college.

Most of my clients will say I am a good lister, I go above and beyond to see my clients are having a good day, mostly time my friends think I respect time ....that I will say yes because if a person doesn't respect time then they are just wasting my time .

There is nothing more rewarding than caring for someone who needs help. Our family is the most important thing to us and we need to care for them as such.

I love what i do. I get a sense of happiness with myself when i help others. I started out working as a housekeeper at a nursing home. I noticed how some of the clients were being treated, and it made me upset. I just didn't understand how you could treat someone with such little respect. I got the opportunity to work with people with developmental disabilities, and it's the best feeling. Knowing i'm helping someone that cannot help themselves is a beautiful feeling. I also have companions that i visit weekly. I love it. I make them happy so it makes me happy.

I have been in the home care for over 30 years I was motivated by having a daughter with cystic fibrosis and I do know the emotions you can endure while caring for the family member I have experience in feeding,bathing, transferring,rom, as well some light duty errands and cleaning
