I have been a certified EMT since 2004 and have gained extensive experience working at Northwell Health, where I served for 12 years. Currently, I am enrolled in nursing school, furthering my education to expand my skills and enhance my contributions to patient care. I do have a car available, I am unable to transport a patient in my vehicle. This is due to the fact that the insurance policy covering the car is not in my name, and therefore, I do not have the appropriate coverage to ensure the safety and liability required for such transportation. $30.00 per hour certified in phlebotomy and EKG.

I BECAME A CAREGIVER BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN THE NEED AND THE WORRIES OF THE FAMILY THAT HAVE TO LEAVE THEIR LOVED ONES ALONE TO GO TO WORK WORRIED ABOUT THEM. I AM A RESPONSABLE, COMPASSIONATE AND CAREING CAREGIVER. I HAVE BEEN A CAREGIVER FOR THE PAST 32 YEARS AND I ENJOY HELPING THE ELDERLY AND SICK WITH THE ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING, INCLUDING. My name is Wendor Sando, i have variety of hobbies. In my spare time, i enjoy meeting up with friend and family and I'm currently working on my own clothing website. I also enjoyed reading about business so one day my own clothing business can grow. In addition I like to cook in my free time. Furthermore, i have a high school diploma and started my associate in college but didn't get to finish, i am planning on going back to complete my college degree as soon as possible.. The reason for that because comprehending English has been a little difficulty for me, because of previous School back home in Liberia. In addition , school system ain't that good out there so i had a little difficulty when in middle school and high school, but i had a lot of help when i was in high school so i believe i am capable for this job. I love working with elderly i treat them as if they were my family. What personal achievements that make me proud are mainly anything that me proud of myself. For example not too long ago I received recognition from my school for great attendance. Also what achievements make me proud are when I help people. For example my friend's mother has C-DIFF and she needs to be reminded to take her medication and I like to help out with it and it makes me proud.

What make me a great caregiver is my compassion for patients..I Love to go home knowing that i helped and made someone's day being a caregiver is a natural ability that i possess it runs in my family i love to regain comfortably and happiness in their lives,and when thats said and done i know my work is accomplished.. i have a outstanding hygiene i like to keep my patient very clean and at times i can get over protective over their lack of care or whatever the situation may be...i treat and take care of my patients as if it would be me one day as well as a family member.

What makes me a great caregiver is that my sister has been a paraplegic my whole life and as a child I had to learn proper care for her as she is in a wheelchair so when my father got diagnosed with leukemia I was ready to be able to care for him properly. I am a respectful happy hard working person that enjoys my profession because I learn something new every day weather it's a bout life or a funny joke and get to take it home with me.

The compliments I get from people I associated with convince me that I am a good human being because I enjoy the company of others, I am empathetic and above all, I derive great satisfaction in helping others when needed. I was always the go-to girl parents sought out for babysitting purposes. The satisfaction I derive from seeing patients I come into contact with express words of satisfaction for a job well-done.
