My client misplaced her money I helped her to find it and put it in a secure place, she was concern that she would forget where she put her money. She speaks five languages, so I told her choose one of the language and write it down on a piece of paper and put on the refrigerator. She was very grateful that I helped her to solve her problem and I am very proud that I was able to help her.

since young I told my granny I would take care of her when she got older. As she got older she forgot alot sometimes even my name calling me other grandchildren name but she always reminded me that I told her I would take care of her and would ask when was I coming to stay with her. Not wanting to leave NY yet I kept telling her "granny im coming don't worry, il be there soon." Until soon never happened because I took time for granted selfishly thinking she had years more to live. Beating myself up for not fulfilling my promise I made a promise to myself that although I never made it to physically take care of my granny I will make it my duty to help someone elses in any way possible. I have a big heart and caring nature as you may see from my work experience children and elders have a soft spot in my heart. Since i made that promise in 2014 i have been successfully accomplishing it. Knowing someone is depending on me to make their day better makes me full of joy.

When I turned 60 I decided to leave the corporate world (I was a graphic designer) and start something different by helping people on a more permanent basis. I have volunteered and have always wanted to help people. I have also been a boy scout leader and organized donations. I have worked steady for the last 7 years as an aide for various agencies on Long Island, NY. I have training in TBI as well as HHA and have had clients with Dementia, Down Syndrome and Parkinson's. I have my own transportation, can cook, laundry and have a lot of patience. Being available for either the agency or patient and not getting stressed even if sometimes they are are achievements enough. I deal with both the healthcare agencies and family members and have assisted the patients to the doctors office as well as tabulating and updating their medication. I am familiar with nursing homes, feeding schedule and activities as well as assisting in their movements and range of motion exercises. I constantly are updating my skills with the agencies and are certified as an HHA and TBI aide I can work different shifts and live on the North Shore. And, by the way I am male. Hi my name is Marjorie Guerrier. I am a home home care provider. I like to provide great services for people with limited abilities. I do have great respest for other and patient people with limited boundaries. I do believe everyone have a chance to enjoy life. It wasn't in me to become a caregiver but after a couple experience on helping disable people i realized how much better i can change someone day for the best. There's so much to enjoy on being a care giver either the is a young or someone more mature there's so much they can teach you on life while i'm helping that person goes around there daily life.
