What's makes me a caregiver is the knowledge gain in this field and the experiences I gain over the years. I am attracted to helping people and putting a smile on someone's face. I indeed enjoy making individual lives better daily by making them happy. My personal achievement I am proud is always carrying out my duties and making a different in other people lives.

I really enjoy helping people. Even when I was a child, I always knew I wanted to help and care for people that need my assistance. I have taken care of people, and felt like I was part of there family. My grandma is 87 years old. Every year I go south to help care for her, and my sick uncle. I really enjoy the time I spend taking care of them. Makes me feel good inside to know that I can give care to other people who need it.

I have a total of 11 years experience with seniors starting within the nursing homes, private duties and working as a NYS 911 EMT. Working with the elderly has given me the opportunity to grow patient and to be receptive to their needs. Assisting with activities of daily activities such as assisting with personal hygiene, supervising with taking medications, meal preparation, housekeeping, driving to and from Doctors appointments, lifting, positioning, tracheotomy, peg-tube feeding, blood glucose level, suction, dialysis and record vital signs etc. My experience has made me very good at what I do, from recognizing early warning signs of possible cardiac related sickness, hypo/hyperglycemia incidences. Compassion, patience and being compassionate is innate for me, there is a sense of reward putting a smile on someones face just to assist with something so minute but it's really appreciated by the person who requires it. I love to help others and I am a reliable, capable, flexible and compassionate person. Being a caregiver truely makes me happy. Just to know I am giving happiness and comfort to someone else is priceless.

I believe I am a kind, gentle, patient and compassionate caregiver. I've been taking care of my mother since I was four years old until she passed away in August of 2018. I am now taking care of my father who is suffering from Parkinson's Disease. I hope to become a nurse in the future but for now I would love to do what I am truly gifted at and that is taking care of others in need. I know that being a caretaker comes naturally to me. It brings me such joy being able to give others my assistance and comfort. I am proud of the time, love, support and dedication I gave to my mother. She was battling so many diseases and infections and it brought me inner peace knowing I was able to comfort her during those difficult times so she could relax and let her body heal. I can't think of anything else I would want to do with my life than to comfort and aid those who are in need of care.

1)I am a caring person with a passion for adult care , I treat my client with the utmost respect I am a patience and nurturing person. 2) I have 10 years experience, I love taking care of the elderly it gives me joy. 3) I Like to see the smile on a client's face when I provide great service that make them happy. 4)While working with this lady in Flushing Queens, MRS Gold "God rest her soul"when I went to work for her she could hardly move she got so sick after her husband died she just gave up, her daughter wanted to put her away in the nursing home I told her no, I will take care of her I started making her chicken soup and cooking nutritious food for her, giving her daily bath and helping her to do exercises, in about two and a half months she began to move about we were taking walks, sitting out on her porch, laughing and talking with the neighbors, she passes away three years later.

My best life work has been raising my son and daughter. While my son is grown, I have my daughter whom is my world. Recently, I've decided to return to the work force after being married for 15 years. Caregiving is a great way to continue the same compassion I have for raising my children, and share that with those whom need it.

In the beginning, I became a caregiver to just make money.After working in this field for 4years It became personal to know that I can make a difference in someone's life, just being myself. 2- I love being a caregiver, for the one on one communication, connection, and understanding. 3- My personal achievement is that the agencies I have worked for, people always said they gave me the difficult cases that no one else wanted. I took those cases and stayed with them long term. That was/is a great achievement for me. 4- I am a Nursing assistant ,Medical assistant but most of all I love being a personal caregiver. I did not take background on carelinx due the fact that I' m out of work and can not afford it. I love providing home caregiving services to my Patients that not able to do so.. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. I enjoy the opportunity to impact clients’ lives and make a difference to them. I appreciate the chance to get to know clients and their families and become a part of their lives. I'm also a medical assistant I enjoy working with elder in office setting or in home settings. I love Seeing a smile of appreciation over just a small deed that I do.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I listen to what the person need and want. I don't push my way of doing things on them. I'm very big on communication and being reliable. I work for two agencies whom like my work ethic. I would like to have more options to do more for my client/patients. Working with an agency is great but there are things a patient need help with like taking their medication and using sterile gauze the agency tells me I cannot do it for them and using my car to go shopping for them which is not allowed with the agency I work for. I believe in helping people to be at their best. I want the option to help people with everything within State laws.
