I loved working with senior citizens then I went to college to study different populations. I have a Masters degree from LIberty University in Human Services with a minor in Health and Wellness . I have worked in various settings such as nursing homes, hospitals group homes and in peoples homes

I became a care giver because i didn't like how the elderly was being treated and i wanted to make a difference. I love being a caregiver because it allows me to show the that someone cares and will be their no matter what when there immediate family can't. I am currently relocating to ct and i am almost finished. I hope to some day be a social worker so i can better advocate for the elderly and disabled

What makes me a great caregiver is that I pay attention to details. I do exactly what I'm told, asked and also give advice according to my expertise and I tell the truth about what is needed when it matters. I first started working with elders within my monastery taking care of their basic needs and taking them back and forth to doctor's appointments and following their doctors care of plan. That transmitted to my professional work life as a certified nursing aide, as I work in the nursing homes and also in private home settings. It brings me joy to see those who are in need of help receive the assistance that they need without taking away their dignity and also giving them the extra help that's necessary.... at the same time allowing them to do what they can for themselves. I have a broad range going from helping those with terminal illnesses all the way to those who just need extra assistance around the house. There is no job too big or too small for me to do.

I became a caregiver 10 years ago because I really enjoy helping and caring for the elders. The rewarding smiles and thankfulness from my clients makes it very rewarding for me. My own personal achievement was when I went back to college at the age of 50 and graduated as a Certified Medical Assistant. I am a 54 year old single woman with 2 beautiful daughters and 4 wonderful grandchildren. I recently moved back to NY after being away for 2 years and work in a rehabilitation for Neuro International where I was A Medical Tech for 2 yeas, I assisted with Medicine, cognitive therapy, bathing, Dr. appointments, and their daily living. I as a very reliable person, caring and always giving myself over and above to my clients.

I became a caregiver to help those who need help. I love to see the client/patient regain their independence. Some do not recover however, and making them comfortable is very important to me. When I do my job properly and the patient is content and happy.

I became a caregiver to make a difference in someone's life. To bring comfort and make thdm feel safe. Most importantly to make sure clients get the proper care. The thing that I like is when my clients are happy and to know I have made a difference for them.I feel good when they feel good. My personal achievment that I am proud of is going back to school to finish getting my RN degree. I am a team player and very eager to learn.

I am an experienced CNA having extensive experience in basic patient care. I am highly skilled in performing all types of patient care activities which include: dressing, bathing, toileting, feeding, and moving patients to and from bed and wheelchairs. I am also able to take and document vital signs, blood glucose checks, weights, intake and output as delegated per patient protocols. It is my greatest desire to help others. I am also very attentive, and an excellent listener.
