I believe I am a kind, gentle, patient and compassionate caregiver. I've been taking care of my mother since I was four years old until she passed away in August of 2018. I am now taking care of my father who is suffering from Parkinson's Disease. I hope to become a nurse in the future but for now I would love to do what I am truly gifted at and that is taking care of others in need. I know that being a caretaker comes naturally to me. It brings me such joy being able to give others my assistance and comfort. I am proud of the time, love, support and dedication I gave to my mother. She was battling so many diseases and infections and it brought me inner peace knowing I was able to comfort her during those difficult times so she could relax and let her body heal. I can't think of anything else I would want to do with my life than to comfort and aid those who are in need of care.

I always wanted to be a nurse since I was a little girl. I love helping people and making them comfortable and happy. I do bring happiness to those I am working with and am very pleasant, concerned, reliable, friendly, trustworthy and dependable. I do have experience in changing, bathing, feeding, administering medicine, insulin, checking blood pressure and overall caring for those who need assistance. I became a caregiver because I used to be very close to my grandmother when she was alive. I loved being not only her granddaughter, but a friend as well. I learned a lot about life from her, and she was like a breath of fresh air for me. Caring for her set me on my path to helping others long after she passed away. If I'm able to I try to promote independence by either having the person assist me of even just letting the person be able to tell me what order they may like things done.
