I have always liked people and helped others. I been a caregiver on and off for over 30 years. I have taken care of many people like they were my own family. My patients needs and wants will always come first. I may someday need care and i will give my patients the respect and care that I want for myself if needed someday. I would prefer a live in position. You may ask what have I been doing. For the last three years I have been with a wonderful lady who pass on her 102 birthday and her daughter who will be moving to an independent living on Oct 1. This is why I will be leaving here this house is to big for the both of us and there to many memories here which we both become sad at times. We also laugh because we have so many good memories of her mom. She needs to start her new life. So send me an email if you think I may be the right person for you love ones needs. Please feel free to ask me any questions you have. I speak English and Spanish. Thank you Nancy

I have life experiences taking care of elderly people both personal and professional since I was a teenager. I was born and grew up in a country that shows full respect and compassion for older people no matter what their status or whatever they have accomplished in their life. I always treat them like my own parents. I do the best I can to help and make them happy and comfortable. I would love to make a difference in their life and see them still enjoying life. I also have experiences working in assisted living community for different levels of dementia cases. Besides being a CNA/HHA, I am An Adult CPR /First Aid certified, and BLS certified. I am energetic, a good conversationalist, enthusiastic, and a happy person.

I have always wanted to be in the medical field, but what inspired me to want to work with the elderly, is after loosing my grandmother due to improper care. What makes me a great caregiver is my humble attitude, patience, communication skills, honesty and sympathy for others. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing that I can provide the service or need for someone that may not be able to do it for themselves.

My husband and I with our two little kids just moved to the east coast in October. Prior to moving out here, I have had the wonderful opportunity of working as a respiratory therapist at two amazing children's hospitals over the last 8 years. I was trained for all the units in the hospital and floated to the various units depending on patient acuity; however, my core unit was the PICU (pediatric ICU). My specialty is with issues concerning the lungs, such as asthmatics, CF (Cystic Fibrosis) patients, SMA (spinal muscular atrophy) patients, and ventilated patients. When I was 18, my mother was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. After 6 months of hospitals, my mother unfortunately passed away. During that time, I fell in love with the aspect of patient care. I wanted to be in a position to help families the way all the hospital care givers helped my mom and my family. For the last 5 years, I have been so blessed to have the opportunity to volunteer at Trails Edge Ventilator Camp. For 5 days, I am able to help 30 different kids (some ventilated and wheel-chair bound but all requiring some respiratory support) experience things that due to their disease/illness may be limited, such as going up in a tree house, riding a horse, and swimming. I love meeting families. I love being able to make a difference in someone's life. I love kids. I love my job!

Skills & Certifications: Respiratory Disorders, Tracheotomy / Ventilation, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Home Health Care, COPD
