I loved working with senior citizens then I went to college to study different populations. I have a Masters degree from LIberty University in Human Services with a minor in Health and Wellness . I have worked in various settings such as nursing homes, hospitals group homes and in peoples homes

I became a care giver because i didn't like how the elderly was being treated and i wanted to make a difference. I love being a caregiver because it allows me to show the that someone cares and will be their no matter what when there immediate family can't. I am currently relocating to ct and i am almost finished. I hope to some day be a social worker so i can better advocate for the elderly and disabled

Personally I had a major surgery from complications from pneumonia. I remember how hard it was those first two weeks. Both Physically and Mentally it was exhausting. Along with my past work experience (Residential Counselor) and personally being on the end of the patient/client, I have all the necessary knowledge to provide professional tailored personal care for your loved one. What makes me a great caregiver is that I pay attention to details. I do exactly what I'm told, asked and also give advice according to my expertise and I tell the truth about what is needed when it matters. I first started working with elders within my monastery taking care of their basic needs and taking them back and forth to doctor's appointments and following their doctors care of plan. That transmitted to my professional work life as a certified nursing aide, as I work in the nursing homes and also in private home settings. It brings me joy to see those who are in need of help receive the assistance that they need without taking away their dignity and also giving them the extra help that's necessary.... at the same time allowing them to do what they can for themselves. I have a broad range going from helping those with terminal illnesses all the way to those who just need extra assistance around the house. There is no job too big or too small for me to do.

I became a caregiver 10 years ago because I really enjoy helping and caring for the elders. The rewarding smiles and thankfulness from my clients makes it very rewarding for me. My own personal achievement was when I went back to college at the age of 50 and graduated as a Certified Medical Assistant. I am a 54 year old single woman with 2 beautiful daughters and 4 wonderful grandchildren. I recently moved back to NY after being away for 2 years and work in a rehabilitation for Neuro International where I was A Medical Tech for 2 yeas, I assisted with Medicine, cognitive therapy, bathing, Dr. appointments, and their daily living. I as a very reliable person, caring and always giving myself over and above to my clients.

I just always had a passion to help others it's just something I love doing. Being able to give someone that extra help they need so that they can stay in their own homes makes me love what I do even more and also just seeing the joy that I bring into their lives not only makes their day but it also makes mine. Going back to school and receiving 3 certifications was a big accomplishment for me. I am a motivated quick learning who is eager to help others. I am very passionate about my work, I love what I do. I have worked in hospitals, nursing homes as well as homecare settings.
