What makes me a great caregiver is the fact I always put my client needs before anyone I always go the extra mile I feel doing a little extra is what counts. I feel I am a great caregiver because I care about the person as a whole and do not treat them as an object. Also, in almost 25 years I have a wide variety of experiences in a variety of settings. I have taken care of all age groups and have enjoyed all of it for various reasons. I began 5 years after my mother had passed and I had assisted in her care. My training began after leaving the printing industry. Now, I have come to a pinnacle and am attempting nursing school.

Fully vaccinated. Being raised by my grandmother & starting childcare as a preteen, I was always drawn to older people & caregiving both. In 2020 I combined both of my interests & became a Direct Support Professional. In 2022 I took it a step further & became a Certified Nursing Assistant . I have experience with caregiving of all ages & all types. I am AMAP (Approved Medication Assistive Personnel) certified so very familiar with medications & various treatments etc. Experienced with transfers, lifts, ambulating, wheelchairs, etc. Experienced with housekeeping, cooking & errand running. Experienced with pet care (dogs and cats). I genuinely love bonding with my residents & helping them with their daily needs.

As an experienced caregiver, I am able to give the best of me to my clients. I have experience with infants, young and elderly with all type of conditions. I am able to come up with some ideas that fit my clients needs and make them comfortable. Most clients appreciate my personality and character. I decided I wanted to help others when I went with my mother to work a couple of times. Seeing her work with the elderly and disabled really warmed my heart and I knew that it was something I wanted to do in the future.. I am now a CNA and very happy in this field. I would like to take it further in the healthcare system.
