I am a caring soul, and often times find myself being an over achiever with absolutely no regret when it comes to those in my life. I lost my grandpa years ago and it was one of the hardest things for me. He resided in a nursing home that he wasn't getting the best care from. It broke me in every way possible. When we went to take him out, he was put on hospice the day of. We then lost him the day after. I became adamant and insisted on giving the best care in the healthcare setting. I started working in the nursing field, and refused to give anything less then my best effort. I strive to make families feel different than mine did. I go beyond expectation to make my patients feel loved, and taken care of.

About me: My name is Nichole Dabney. I go by Nicky. I have been a service provider and care taker for over 6 years now. I have been liscened Independent Provider with the Department of Developmental Disabilities for over 6 years now. In addition to that, I also teach high school. This is my 2nd year of teaching at Liberty High School. When you love what you do it's not considered work. I got into this field after spending many years of caring for my Mother who was also wheel chair bound. It only seemed right to contine down this path even after she passed on. I think this is something that comes naturally to me. I wear many hats, but Mom is by far my favorite job of them all. I have two beautiful children whom I Love dearly and they are my number one supporters and fans. I am grateful for the opportunity to work in my gifts. I believe that everything and everyone has purpose. Mines is to be a servant to God's people.

I am a caring compassionate person. I have worked in nursing homes and inhome care for about 5 years. In home care is my passion. I love helping others in any way I can. I love hearing about others lifes and storys. Just putting a smile on their face is so rewarding. I'm a mother of 3 girls. I m a very hard worker and do whatever I need to to provide for my children. I am reliable and trustworthy.

What makes me a great caregiver, I'm compassion about what i do I work hard it's more than a job i love to care for people. Why became a caregiver to provide excellent care for people in need. My personal achievement I'm proud of is becoming more educated on how to make a difference in people lives and my community.

When I decided to become a caregiver is when I would see my aunt disrespect my granny, and I would say I will never do that. So I wanted to make a difference in people lives. I've been taking care of the elderly since I was 19 years old currently 38th and I still love my job no matter the difficulties and changes from then to now what Remains the Same is I enjoyed my time with the elderly I enjoy the things that I learn on a day-to-day basis with them the conversation the companionship the appreciation for taking care of those who otherwise would be lonely and without care.

I have been a LPN for 6 yrs , I have dialysis , trach and vent , Gtube , Diabetes , dementia , oxygen therapy , rehab and MRDD of varieties of age groups, i always make sure my patient family understand what is happening as it is happen , wound care , i take proud in helping my patient get to their max recovery
