I'm a very patient person that enjoys caring for others. I enjoy helping with housework and cooking. I've worked with some very difficult patients and have been able to build trust. Can work different shifts depending on need. I really enjoy helping people stay in there home as long as possible.

What makes me a great care giver is that I'm passionate about what I do I love helping people. What attracted me to being a caregiver was seeing my grandmother become ill and having no one to care for her I took on that role until she passed. I have been taking care of the elderly ever since I didn't want to see someone who didn't have anyone to care for them so I wanted to be that person. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the relationship I develop with each client. The feeling of making some feel loved and appreciated and cared for is the best feeling to me.

Hi families! I am Kayla, currently a nursing Major at Waynesburg. Through my technical school I was able to receive my CNA license, we did our clinical in a nursing home and I loved it. I love to listen to, talk to, help and just be around the people that need me the most. Through this program I was also votes on by staff, my grades and motivation to be the nursing assist student of the year and senior of the year. I am forever grateful for that opportunity. But I am more grateful that is has led me to my forever career. Being a care giver is such a rewarding feeling and I feel as if when I am providing care, I am not actually 'working.' I like to connect with my patients on a level that is more personable then just their 'caregiver.'

Hi :) I have 3 years of experience with dementia patient, and I recently became certified in September. While I love the knowledge that I gained to become a CNA, nursing homes are not a good fit for me, because there is no time to truly spend with the residents there. So I prefer one on one, or two. I feel that people get better care when it isn't divided between up to 20 people. I love taking care of people. It's just in my nature. I'm a very happy, kind person, and I handle dementia or mood swings from people very well, because I never take it personally ! I have my own reliable transportation and I will be happy to show you all of my credentials, which include a recent physical, tb test, and I'm also BLS certified, which means that I know CPR for adults, children and infants. I like to clean, so if your loved one is sleeping in my care, I won't sit around on my phone when there's laundry to be folded or dishes in the sink :) I feel like I should be working when I'm at work :) I am very open to random drug testing if you would like, that is not a problem at all. Well, I think that I've rambled enough for now :) If there's is anything at all that you would like to know, please don't hesitate to ask ! I'm an open book !

The stories they tell when they were younger are very interesting to hear about. I'm a easy going, kind, patient person. To have my children watch me help others teaches them that no matter what age I may be, there might be a day where I will need help and to treat others how they would want me to be treated if that day happens. My patients turn into family, they motivate me to become a better person than I was the day before and teach me life lessons. Also they give the best life advice! I am 18 years old, and have been employeed as a caregiver since before graduating High School. I have always taken care of older folks, for as long as I can remember. I helped care for my great grandmother and grandfather for many years prior to becoming an aide. I lived with my grandmother to help care for her during my high school years. I have always loved the elderly, I believe they need someone to always be there for them, and remember that they once were young and well. I believe they have a great story to tell, and they deserve someone to listen. I am currently registered in the state of Ohio as a nurses aide, and am attending college to obtain my LPN. I have medical knowledge, as well as a kind, and open heart. I truly believe I was born to be a caregiver.
