I became a a Registered Nurse (Acute Nurse) because people's health is my concern. Assist clients who needs my services to perform their daily activity, Assessment of the patient and reporting changes to the appropriate health team. Actually, I am a Registered Nurse. Characteristics: dependable, honest, independent, optimistic, hard-working, encouraging, a problem solver, a good listener and communicator. I became interested in health care when I was 10 years old and in the hospital over Christmas having had an emergency appendectomy. My mom worked for a doctor (earning $1 an hour) and was always telling us about interesting cases and teaching us strange sounding medical terminology. Most of my nursing career was in a Medical Intensive Care Unit at Ohio State University Medical Center. After that exciting career, I started working in Home Health in 2008. I enjoy working 1 on 1 with my clients, offering encouragement, seeing that they are receiving proper care, and hearing their life stories.

Hi! I've been an RN for 26 yrs. I LOVE caring for others and all that comes with being a nurse. I'm not necessarily looking for high-tech, intensive nursing right now. I'm more interested in getting out of the house to be of use to someone who needs some assistance at home or out in the community. Our 3 sons are grown and out on their own now. I've been home for a couple years, caring for my husband who is a traumatic brain injury survivor, so if you need help, I'll RUN out the door. Hi there! My name is Malissa and I absolutely love being a nurse! I enjoy making my patients lives a little easier by providing the best care they deserve. I have been on the receiving end of healthcare during times when the care wasn't so great and I will never forget how that made me feel. I vowed to myself that I would never be responsible for causing that hopeless feeling in others. My patients are individuals, with individual needs. Too often providers get wrapped up in the day to day schedule and forget that what is routine to us is not routine to the patient. Seeing my patients smile during their weakest moments (literally) lets me know I am doing my job well. Patients and family members need to know they are being heard and they have a right to express their opinion regarding care being provided to them and their loved ones. Compassion, empathy, listening skills merged together with physical clinical skills makes for an excellent patient experience and that is my passion.
