I became a care giver because I love working and talking care of senior citizens and the handicap. I love to get to know my clients and enjoy making their lives a little easier. I had a young girl who was in a car accident and I helped her get her high school diploma and helped her walk again I am a 47yr old mother of 3 have 9 grand babies and I raise my nephew who had muscular dystrophy I moved to Ohio from Michigan to be near my middle daughter. My name is melissa, call me missy. I am a 47 yr old single mom of three kids, but only one left at home. I am a very caring compassionate individual. I have taken care of people from just being there as a companion up to total care, and I have also been with them until they take their last breath. I have been doing this for 15+ years, mostly independent private care. I have worked in nursing homes, but I prefer to do more one on one care. I find this to be very rewarding. It means alot to be able to make a difference in the lives of individuals and to be able to help their family know that their loved ones are cared for when they can't be there.
