I became a caregiver back in 2012 , when I started my freshman year in college . I always loved to help others an when I tried Home Health aid I fell in love with dong it . I love the fact that you have a great impact on someone's life to help assist with there daily living. It makes my day to know , I've helped them.

I've been working with the elderly for over twenty years and I love helping people rather it's companion care or house cleaning I just like being around them.

I have been a caregiver 30+ yrs (prior to agencies) cared for my dad, then aunt,while working full time (77-90) began thru agencies after retirement. 2006 - 2016. I also operated an in-home daycare from 2001-2006. I have a care givers spirit and love it!

I am a great care giver because I am very passionate, positive about anything that I apply myself to and caring about the wellbeing of others.. I am a mother of 4 and grand mother of 1. I have raised my children and I have a heart for caring for others and I love caring for the elderly as if they were my own family..I have taking care of the elderly and ill strickened family members as well as some patients. I have Been a personal care aide for the past four years and I love every aspect of my job. What made me gain interest in this field of work was when i first started to do child care for a family I knew back in my home town. I worked every summer for 3 summers straight for the family. Soon after i decided to become a certified childcare provider in the town of Hudson NY. Ive always loved caring for others so my interest grew outside of just childcare and i soon begin to take up companionship and Personal care and ever since then i stuck with it. I love every bit of my job even the days that are tough on both caregiver and client I always put their needs first. I make sure my clients receives the best care and more under my watch. I have two boys. I've worked with family members with disabilities all my life, my little sister and my aunt. I also worked with ARC with Franklin county as a job coach . It's was a program that builds life skills for adults . As a provider I've worked with all ages from kids to Adults, Elderly and a married couple. I also worked with two elderly woman close to 93 years of age, Both passed one after the other and now are in a better place. I also worked with another woman thought her daughter privately at there home in reynoldsburg. I had to stop working do to her medical condition of cancer developing, She needed more nursing care to get through her Chemotherapy. Her daughter in law really loved the work I did and didn't want to let me go, But she needed care i couldn't provide. I love working with the elderly as my grandma is 89 and my aunt who has autism, We are very close. I work now in the morning with a special needs school The Learning Spectrum in canal winchester and I'm looking to make a change . Thank you for considering me and god bless.

To be a good Care Giver you must be patient and caring; something you don't become, it's someone you must BE. When needed I am willing to do life at someone else's pace. Being a Care Giver has taught me the importance of helping others experience life at their pace not mine.
