I have worked as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide for roughly 10 years now and work mostly with High Acuity Care patients. I am interested in expanding my clients and taking on more hours as care is needed. I have a very strong connection with people and love to help others. I have experience in bathing, showering, oral care, Hoyer lifts (manual and electric), Dementia care, end of life care, meds, vent and trachea care, repositioning, range of motion care, hospice care, companion care, etc and more. I pay close attention to details, and provide peace of mind to families knowing that their loved ones are in such good hands. I have extremely high levels of patience, understanding, guidance and comfort for those in need of care. I like to build personal relationships with those that I am caring for. I am very committed to my job and very independent. I am always open and willing to learn and try new things and work best hands on. I believe in Working stronger not harder. I became a caregiver when I started helping take care of my sick Father at his home before he passed. I noticed then, it takes a very special person with such a kind heart and compassion to care for such venerable and once independent individuals. I have chosen the Home Care Field directly over lots of different job opportunities. To work in the Home Care Field for me, directly, is a great one on one experience compared to Facilities that just don't have enough staff to cover every individual and give them the proper care they need. It's better for those individuals in a facilitated home or hospital to be Alone or refuse care, rather then have a caregiver hate there job. I have great References and am staffed with two other medical staffing agencies. I am contingent right now as needed care comes available. I would love to be your caregiver and help you with whatever care is needed. Please message me so we can set up a time to meet and discuss the care your in need of. Thanks

I always new I wanted to be a caregiver at a very young age . My grandmother would help all the elderly in the neighborhood and I tagged along to help . From high school I went to Owens college for my certification to become an Aide . I've learned through years of experience to blend in the ways of caring to becoming friends with the patient. Learning their life and what is their routine , what they like or dislike. Keep moving ( move it or lose it ) daily range of motion and exercise is important,.Keep living and enjoy what you can . Over 28 years of caring for people ,I became friends with so many family's that I still have contact with and referrals from their family and friends.

Hi my name is Pam I became a caregiver back in 2013. I was working as an aide with special needs kids. The child that I was working with had Down Syndrome. Her parents ask me if I would apply through the state and become her caregiver at home so I did. While working with her I received a call from an Independent Provider who was looking for someone to fill in hours to cover shifts. He explained that I would be taking care of two brothers that had Friedreich's Ataxia. Both brothers were very dependent on me to assist them with daily living skills. This is how I became a caregiver. I love being a caregiver. I love the fact that I get to make a difference in some ones life. While working with kids I get to see them grow and become more independent. To know that I had a part in that makes me happy. While working with adults and Seniors I get to help them do things that they just can not do on their own anymore, be a companion, and be a comfort. To me it is a blessing to help make their world a little easier. Somethings that make me a great caregiver are I am dependable. In my three years I have never called off sick one time or never not shown up for my clients. I am organized, I go above and beyond, have good communication skills, show empathy and I put others first. One proud personal achievement I have is I just became an STNA. I was not sure how I would do since I have not been in school for over 20 years but I did it. Now I am hoping to go back to school with in one year for nursing.

I am a compassionate person with 25 years experience in the medical field. I am certified in CPR and have personal experience with people afflicted with dementia. I feel it is important, for those who need care, to be able to stay in their home. I am patient, honest and recently retired. Dignity of my client is my first goal. I cared for my father when was no longer to care for himself. My commitment to him was very important to me. Although his memory had diminished, he would still tell me stories about his childhood and how he met my mother.

I have been caring for young adults with Autism and other mental health issues for a long time now. I love caring for other people. I feel it is not only my calling in this life but my passion as well. I have seen to many differently abled people fall through the cracks and families that seem to want to give up. That is where I come in. I see myself as the one that can truly make a difference in their lives. I am very good at turning a potential bad situation into a good one.
