I am a newly certified CNA who is also going to OCCC to obtain my B.N. I would love to work as a caregiver while achieving my education.

I would like to present myself as a candidate for the Certified Nursing Assistant position. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Colegio San Agustin Bacolod, Philippines in April 2006. My background training also includes 125 hours of the Nursing Assistant Program from the American Red Cross in August 2014. I have five years of hands-on work experience as a live-in caregiver for clients who suffered a host of different ailments including: Parkinson’s disease, dementia, COPD, spinal stenosis, and skin cancer. My key attributes in the field of Senior caregiving include: providing meaningful companionship, administering medications, bathing & grooming, dressing, bed mobility, oral hygiene and toileting. Monitoring the health and well-being of the client under my care is a priority. My educational background and Senior caregiving work experience has provided me with a solid foundation of nursing skills, that in turn will prove a valuable asset to you. It is in my nature as a person to care for people. I have always cared for my siblings, neighbors, and volunteered in nursing homes even before I was old enough to have a job. I like the reward of knowing that the little things I can do for people has helped people. My personal achievement in life is knowing I have treated other people, even to those that can't express appreciation, the way I would want to be treated and cared for. I am a Christian, a wife, a mother, and a dedicated caregiver.
