As a caregiver, I've always had a heart of service. I had received an Excellence In Action award from Union City Police for preforming CPR & First-Aid on a kid that had a pre-existing heart condition. I was taught CPR in a class that was mandatory for my job teaching Pre-K not knowing how soon I would have to use this new skill. But after that day, I realized how important it was to step up to the plate and be the one to take action. It has to be one of my most proud moments.

I have a varied background in providing individual care to people of all ages and conditions with more than 12 years of experience in the field. In my current position of individual caregiver to a quadriplegic patient I assist my client with daily living activities such as getting out of bed toileting showering getting dressed and other duties as needed. I am able to physically handle the work load and I also have a caring bedside manner and good interpersonal skills. My organizational skills allow me to complete all tasks in a timely manner and to be able to devote time to helping with other household duties such as cleaning laundry and dishes. I have specific experience in working as a Caregiver for clients with physical disabilities. I have come to know those whom I provide care for as family. I have been a Cna for 10 years. It kind of runs in the family actually. It started when I took care of my Dad the last years of his life. He had diabetes, Parkinson's, dementia, kidney failure due to the diabetes, and some other medical conditions. I have always loved taking care of people. A good motto I go by is "quality over quantity". It is about the care, the smiles, and the little things with my patients/clients. Keeping them home as long as possible is always the goal.

My name is Brianna and I have been a caregiver through a company for 2 and a half years and a private duty caregiver for 1 year and a half.
