I became a caregiver about 20+ years ago after raising my family. My brother was born with a disability and I seen how gentle and loving my mother was with him. I do client shopping, take client out for recreation, make drs' appointment and take them to there appointment, medications remainder,or administered medications, reports any concerns to family member who is POA.It rewarding when you see your client condition is improving.Care giver job is rewording when you bond with your client and the built trust in you.

I felt in love with the work through voluntary work. I was taken care of people who are mentally challenged. I love to see I made a difference in a person's life. Through an extensive training I had as a Med. Technician , through MBON, I was able to administer meds, check with vitals, administer CPR and First Aid.I gave injections to people with Diabetes and also check with their blood sugar. Aside this, I took care of their personal hygiene and run errands for them. I prepare their meals and get them ready for their daily activities. I schedule their doctor's appointments and make sure to honor those appointment. Doing this gave me the confidence to take up a manager's position which I excelled!
