I am a very patient, loving and caring person with a passion for helping people in need. I love to be depended on and I love meeting new people and learning new things. I have been in the healthcare industry for about 20 years now. The reason I entered the field was because my Mother and Stepdad took sick when I was about 12 and I became the care provider to them both. We did not have much money to have a around the clock nurse so the nurse we had taught me how to do many things. When my parents passed I became a CNA/GNA and I worked in a nursing home setting which I loved for about 7 years. I wanted more even to become a nurse so I left the nursing home setting and begin working in the hospital. I worked there for about 6 years when I had my son I left the hospital and tried a new venture. I entered into my current and most rewarding field, working with individual's who needed me most. Those who have Developmental Disabilities. I have been with my current job for 10. A personal goal of mines was to return to school something I have started and look forward to finishing not just for me but for my son and to give back to those I work with and support on a day to day basis.

Have been a compassionate self starting caregiver for 12 years traveling within a 40 Mile radius of my home a good friend helped me to get started with helping seniors in their homes it gives me great pleasure to help seniors in need by just being a good listener and companionship and performing all activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing, toileting, dressing, meal preparation no, light housekeeping, running errands, medication reminders as well as medication management, transportation to appointments, am very familiar with using a Hoyer lift, safety belt, sliding board and other devices for transferring I take my job very seriously and consider it to be a blessing to assist seniors and enable them to maintain a dignified life style

I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others.I enjoy taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way.I like older adults and feel you can get along well with a variety of elders. Hello, My name is Latrinia Hooks. I just recently receive my certification as a CMT along with my CPR/AED/First Aid. Although I don't have as much experience right now I am a dedicated to my new career path an I know I have what it takes to get the job done. I am a very outgoing person who gets along with pretty much everybody. I am currently working as a Caregiver for Always best care senior service, I am learning a lot but I am not really working directly with medicine. Which is what I wanna do so I can eventually take my career path further into medicine. With the proper training and directions I will have the experience to do that. I have personal experience with my Grandfather who passed away in 2015 and now working with my Father who can no longer walk. I think I make a good caregiver because I have the patience you need to work within this type of field. And I am enjoying everything I have done within a short period of time already
