As a person who took care of her grandmother, I am very compassionate. I understand that they are old and fragile and need love. I am a very patient in general and even more as a caregiver. This job is caught my eye because I love taking care of people. I am the youngest in the family so it was them who always took care of me and as I grew older, I found myself wanting to take care of other people and family members like my family took care of me. I love making people that I take care of make their problems go away even just temporarily. I love making them happy and forget their problems. I love affecting people's lives positively. I took care of my grandmother growing up. When I used to live in the Philippines, she was one of the people that raised me. I moved to the US and had to leave her but I promised myself that I will get her to come here one day. Finally, I got her a Visa and she got to see the United States and got to take care of her like she took care or me. She was with me for 2 years and I had to stop college so I can take care of her. I have no regrets, I loved every single moment we spent together. She was 82 when she came here, I had to bathe her, change her clothes, make food for her and help her get to bed. She has rheumatoid arthritis in her knees so it was very hard for her to walk so I had to escort her wherever she went. She was also showing signs of Dementia. Even though we talked about the same things over and over again, I would go back a thousand times just so I can see and take care of her again. Her Visa expired and had to go back to the Philippines. She is 87 years old now. Whenever I talk to her, she would never fail to thank me for taking care of her.

Hi, I'm Drea, I've been in the field for about 10 years professionally and I help out with family members with special needs as well as a mother to a child who is Autistic. I enjoy helping those around me and providing them with the care and help needed to be productive at home and in the community.

I have worked in the school district enviroment for over 11 years. I have worked with autistic students and there parents. I've worked with the elderly for the past 7 years. From Bathing, toileting, dressing, preparing meals, etc. I have worked for the past 7 months for a 94 year old women who was able to shower herself, but needed her breakfast and lunch made and a companion to read the paper to her along with being a companion during the day. I was able to drive her to and from the Doctors, hair dresser and we went shopping and medication reminders. I've worked with dementia, Parkinson's and hospice clients. I have a great personality and I'm very upbeat and enjoy helping the elderly. I love to talk and keep up with current events in the paper and on tv. I work very well with the families in the concerns there are with there love one.

I love to help others with whatever service is necessary. I am able to provide services such as cook, clean, drive patients to wherever necessary, stay with them during the day to take care of them and keep them company. I also am BLS and ACLS certified. I have a medical background in Cardiac Sonography and in that process I learned medical assisting and ekgs.

I've been a caregiver for going on 20 years working with many clients with different needs. I love what I do and feel my clients respond well to me. I am in very good physical condition and am very able to lift and assist in transfers.
