Growing up as a child I always wanted to be a nurse.I would always play doctor and nurse caring for my little friends.As I got older I followed my passion which is patient care ,and enrolled in a nursing program.I am a CNA,CPR Bls certified with over 8 years of caregiving experience in the vicinities of home,nursing homes also hospitals.I love to give back to others by helping and caring for them or even making myself available.

I'm a caregiver who is honest dependable never late for work, I love what I do I take passion in caring for my clients. I have been a care giver for 37 years. I became interested in being a caregiver when a lady ask me for help she told me that she was not able to bathe herself. which I did help her and did not take any money from her she thanked me. So after that I assisted her with her care when I could and helped her to find more help. that is when I decided that this is what I wanted to do. I like seeing their faces when they get the help that they need just seeing that smile on their face is priceless. My personal achievement that I'm so proud of. I worked with this lady who wanted to work part time I found her a job which she had to volunteer for a week to see if she was able to do the work. I assisted her showing her what she needed to do. after 3 days she was offered the job I was so proud of her. she worked part time at the job and later was offered a supervisory position.

I gained personal experience & awareness of what issues & concerns are to often overlooked in a hospital setting & leaving despair & frustration once the person goes home. The experience & skills I have gathered from working in the medical industry for years have propelled me to help out where I can help improve the care & have a positive impact in someone's life while in their home setting. I treat others with kindness, respect & compassion as if they were my own family. I've helped care for clients needing assistance in Alzheimer's, dementia, & hospice care needs. My first experience in geriatric care came when my grandparents became ill and required a hospice nurse. Taking on that role allowed me to develop an intimate understanding of the personal needs of my patients, foremost among them being the dignity and respect with which I believe every human being has an inherent right to recieve throughout the later stages of life. I was honored to help facilitate a hospice plan that allowed my grandparents to live and ultimately pass away in the home that they shared together, regardless of their advanced illness. I treat each individual under my care as if they were my own family, and pledge to do more than simply attend to their physical and ambulatory needs - I always ensure that my charges are given attention and conversation; kept engaged in activities and pastimes that they enjoy in order to promote a happy and fulfilling lifestyle in spite of their individual limitations. I previously worked as a medical assistant in doctor's office. I had a special needs daughter that passed away and led me to a career in home health. I love helping people maintain their dignity and comfort by helping them stay in the comforts of their own home.

I will have my background check soon I'm new to this site and l have to wait on my birth certificate that l misplaced, so l can get my background check, l do have references l also have my clearances and fingerprints from up north so I'm waiting to update those as well.
