I enjoy being with people, and helping them. I feel our basic concept is to help others that need it, to better them, & to better ourselves in doing so. I feel I'm at my best when I'm able to extend kindness, compassion, & respect to others, & to help them live as comfortable as posdible.

I have been a "caregiver" all of my life, within my friend group, family, and those I meet that tend to make a special imprint upon my heart. I am a very empathetic person, and caring for others comes natural to me. I believe our purpose on this earth is to show care and support for others - and it gives me joy to do just that! Becoming a caregiver professionally allows me to spread my joy to others, and ensure the best quality of life possible.

I've worked with people for most of my career, helping or teaching in various ways. I enjoy working with and supporting our wiser generation, and the opportunity to build relationships in my work. I would like to have more time to spend with people and that's why I'm changing careers. I have worked with families with children under 3, and now I am interested in providing home-care and assistance. I have served a few seniors in the last year, and they have appreciated my skills, personality and patience. I want to be a care giver because I just spent the past six months taking care of my father who has since passed on, I enjoyed spending time with him even though in the end he really didn't remember that I was his daughter anymore. I love helping others, in a way I think it helps to fill a void in ones life. I think that Geriatrics is my specialty I enjoy it because the clients have so much wisdom to share. I like to think I will help to improve their quality of life and ease some suffering. An employer should hire me because I know you need staff who can show true compassion, who are good with elder clients and who will make sure that the client has all that they need before my shift ends and things are left tidy. I really enjoy working with all different types of people, and helping them stay as independent as they can be. It’s really important to me to be polite and friendly, when I worked in the retail field I tried to get every customer to smile before they left my store! It has been a while since I had to take care of another person be sides myself, my youngest child is 27 years old , but I don’t think you lose the passion to please the others and make sure they always get the care they need– I haven’t.
