I truly have enjoyed my role over the years as a Caregiver working in home care, hospice care and behavioral health. Making a difference in some ones life has always been my destiny with providing them with a safe and healthy environment. I am reliable, dependable, respectful and trustworthy. I give quality care to my clients. I'm always on time, never late. Very reliable. Been a CNA for 26 yrs. Because we all belong to God, and he wanted me to take care of his people. I like being a caregiver because i'm helping others that need help that can't help themselves much anymore, and they need someone there to assist them with the things they can't do anymore like they used to. My personal acievement that i'm proud of is that i've been a CNA for 26 yrs helping others for a long time now. I'm very proud of that accomplishment.

I have 13 years of experience as a certified nursing assistant. I enjoy helping others and seeing a smile on their faces just makes my day. I have worked in a nursing home setting, in home care, private care and hospice care.

I have been a CNA for 17 years at a long term care facility. I enjoy working for and taking care of people. Every day is different and I always enjoy learning new things and new people. I take pride in what I do. I was a team leader at my job as well.

At the very young age of eight years old, my grandfather was diagnosed with colon cancer. Unfortunately enough, the cancer spread throughout various parts of his body and he died very uncomfortably just 5 months later. Throughout the various hospital trips and treatments, I was always present. Nurses often joked and were surprised by the little girl who slept in the hospital bed with her dying grandfather for five months. My mom said she recalls me having a lack of concern for my own well being, and a great concern for helping my grandfather. I was applauded daily by doctors, nurses, caregivers, and friends for my care, compassion, and understanding at such a young age. Each day I saw new caregivers and nurses do their best, always smiling, to make my grandfather's passing as comfortable as possible. The day I watched my grandfather take his last breath, and as I watched the nurses and caregivers shed tears over a man they hardly knew, it occurred to me that I knew exactly what I wanted to do in life. I want to make a difference in the lives of sick patients and their families. I want to improve the quality of life for as many people as I possibly can while here on earth. There is no better feeling in this world than knowing you've made a difference in someone's life. That is why I chose to become a caregiver.
