I love to help others!!For 28 years it has brought me joy to know that I do something everyday that puts a smile on an individuals face. I'm giving back what was given to me, at sometime or another we all need someone to care for us so its my duty to give back. Raising my kids and finishing school so i could do what i love. I think one of my greatest traits that with my experience make me well qualified for the job is, compassion and patience. Because above all those are the two important things you need to have while working in the health care field, and I have learned both go a long way. I have been a personal care giver in many different enviroments/ to all ages of patients for the past 6 years, and the amount of different people you meet and just being able to be there when they need somebody/ help in any way is in my view the best part of the job.

One thing that attracted me to being a caregiver is that I absolutely love helping people and making them feel better. Seeing them have a good day helps me have a better day. Some of the traits that I have that help with this job is empathy. Empathy is a huge thing to have as a caregiver. Really, I absolutely love having a bond with my patients/residents. Seeing myself being able to help people and make their lives a little bit easier is what brings me to work. The one big achievement that I'm proud of is that I moved states away from my son to earn my state certifications.

Hello! My name is Heather Dunmire, I have been in the medical field for 8 years now. My first job out of high school was a nurses aide position. I went on to further my education and obtain my CNA license in January 2017. I have a strong passion for wanting to help others and wanting to see them succeed. I have worked in a childcare facility as a shift supervisor before but I always find my way back to my elderly folk, that is where I feel my heart is at and where I feel I do my best work. I love hearing their stories from all throughout their lives, and I absolutely love to see the smiles on their faces. I like to really take the time to find out what their dislikes and likes are, get to know their routine of things, and try to connect with them in a way to make them feel safe and secure. I am cpr, first aid, aed, and Heimlich trained. I am also diabetic trained and medication trained, and insulin trained and I have a customer service certification. I am currently a student in the nursing program at BC3. I am reliable, have my own transportation, and am qualified to give the care that you are looking for. I am CPR/BLS certified, and have also taken courses for feeding and basic activities of daily living. I would be able to do an overnight shift of the weekends, as well as evening shifts throughout the week.
