This is a little about me. I am a down to earth individual. I chose to get into the medical field because I was tired of working jobs that paid minimum wage and not enough hours. I wanted to do CNA because it suits my personality well. I have always taken care of my family so I thought why not get paid for doing what I already do. Since being a CNA I have saved up for my own apartment. I could not have gotten my apartment with a warehouse job or working at a fast food place. I really like it when the client and I have a good bond and a great understanding. I like to make people laugh because I believe that is the best medicine. I believe in treating people the way you want to be treated. So if you allow me to take care of your loved one you will not be disappointed

I am a compassionate and empathetic caregiver with excellent communication and solving skills I started working in a nursing home at the age of 17,and it became a passion for working with the elderly.so I decided to make it a life long profession. I have been in the caregiving field for 13+ years, both in private homes and skilled nursing facilities. I am a highly skilled, reliable, and gifted caregiver. I serve my clients with the utmost respect, compassion, and kindness. My clients and their families find me to be pleasant and lighthearted. I listen well and am extremely intuitive and empathetic in my caregiving. I initially became a caregiver because of my great-grandmother, who lived with my family from the time I was two years old until she fell and broke her hip when I was seventeen. She was a truly lovely woman and spent the last year of her life in a nursing home. I have always felt that by becoming a caregiver, my care of others somehow extends to her, even though she's been long gone from this earth plane. There's so much I enjoy about caregiving. It is a joy to know that my assistance helps to lift the hearts and ease the minds of those I care for and their families. I find great joy in connecting with the people in my care, in communicating with them, hearing their stories or their families stories about them, of connecting heart to heart. I love how much caregiving has, and continues to, expand my heart and my capacity to hold others with ever greater respect, compassion, understanding, and kindness. I am currently a second semester senior at Salve Regina University in the nursing program. I have been a CNA since I graduated high school almost 4 years ago. I have also had clinical experiences throughout college which has fiurther heightened my passion for being a caregiver. I would describe myself as compassionate and empathetic. I truly enjoy my time with the clients and patients I have spent time with and gotten to know. I have found that seniors/the elderly are a population that I feel particularly drawn to. I feel that I can learn so much from listening and being present with people, especially those who have lived different experiences than me in a different time period. I like connecting with those I care for, but I mostly enjoy helping those who need it. I would love the opportunity to provide care for someone in my last semester of college.

I have been a cna for almost 8 years and I absolutely LOVE what I do. I became a cna after taking care of my grandfather when my grandmother couldn't care for him no longer. He made me realize what Im meant to do. My goal is to be a Nurse one day. I have worked in all aspects of healthcare. From my 1st job being in an all male medium security prison as a cna to working hospice,private duty, nursing homes, and home care. Im very good at what I do and have never had a complaint. Im very respectful and go above and beyond for my clients. My clients become family to me. I get joy in making someone elses day a little brighter and better.
