I became a caregiver after my mother passed away from breast cancer and Ive been doing it ever since, seeing my mother in that condition was very hard and I feel like if I can help someone else in anyway possible I will do just that.

Ive worked in Healthcare for the the past 11 years, 5 years as a cna in long term care, homehealth and hospital settings. I am now back in school working towards my Rn.

I have a bubbly and fun personality. I love helping and caring for individuals since I was younger. I enjoy most of about caregjving that I can out a smile on my residents face and make their day and help them with anything they need.

I have compassion for individuals that can't perform task or daily living activities,with the understanding that assistance is what they need to feel they are still in control of there independence,In my opinion, a caregiver job is one of the most important job in the world,I love what I do for a living and that's helping people live again in there on strength.

I think of every patient as a family member of mines . Like I wouldn't want this to happen if this was one of my family members.. I work very hard to get my job done . I am responsible and very caring .. and also very respectable

I never thought about being a caregiver. But I was asked by a friend if I could spend some time and help out with her Grandmother. I had no experience in this area, but I instantly fell in love with my "client". In the beginning, she was able to do some things for herself, even with the dementia.She enjoyed being on the front porch, even though when we got back in the house, she wouldn't remember it. She loved spraying herself off after a shower. And she loved her ice cream. But as time went on she got weaker and weaker. When she was ill enough to be put in a nursing home for more intense care, I decided that this was something I was good at and enjoyed doing. So I went to school to obtain my CNA license. When my "little lady" was returned home, it was just a matter of keeping her comfortable. But she was still in good spirits. I wasn't there the day she passed, because my Dad passed the day before. Working in assisted living was an easier pace, and it seems more attention is paid to the clients. I worked in the Dementia unit which presents it's own set of situations. But the clients I worked for were wonderful people. It wasn't hard to have a smile on my face everyday just being around them, even though some days could be pretty intense. I've always said I would treat any "client", "patient", as family. The way I would take care of my own. And I found that out in Oct of last year, when I was fortunate enough to take care of my own Mother as she struggled with cancer, it was an honor to be with her through her last days. I've held the hand of a few of my "family" of people, including my own Mother as they have left this world. And just knowing that I was able to give them some peace and some comfort to me is what makes me enjoy this job, even with the sorrow that comes with it. I'm looking to have a one on one position. I would like to be close to the Antioch/Brentwood, Tenn area, I just moved here and I'm still getting acquainted with the area.

Hi my name is Skylar and i have been a caregiver for 10 years and now I am currently registered as a CNA as of 2017. What makes me a great nurse is the excellent skills that i provide and the effort that i put into giving each one of my clients and family excellent care. Helping provide care to my mother and grandmother growing up is what motivated me to join the healthcare field and its one of the best decisions I have made.I have worked with a wide range of different clients from children to adults and it means alot to me, I take my job serious because I love what I do and have a great passion for it. Some accomplishments I have achieved are good feedback from families, being able to now have a certification and just overall being a blessing for the positive job i do on a daily.Im trained in just about everything and im blessed to be because when a client needs a particular care done im not just going in there but I am going in knowing what im doing. I have worked for different healthcare agencies, private duty cases and Hospice as well.
