I became a Caregiver because I believe that everyone has a place in this life where they are needed. Age has nothing to do with how important a role you play in shaping someones life. I love to help others to feel as vibrant and apart of the daily norm as possible, to know that no matter what there circumstance they have something to contribute to life. I am proud of the way my Clients respond to the help given and the wisdom they give in return. I am the mother of 3 children, 2 adults and a 18 year old. I am the grandmother of 5 beautiful children who live in Tennessee. I love all sorts of sports, avid reader, and Minister in my church.

I am a recent grad from UNCG, and now a current nursing student who truly loves taking care of people. I have been a nanny for many years, as I especially love children.. but I also have a passion for the elderly. I've came across so many situations where elderly people are being mistreated, and it honestly breaks my heart and inspires me to show them love and compassion. I am making it my duty to give proper care to any senior I come across. I have cared for many of my grandparents who have now passed away due to cancer and other health problems. I know that I wanted the best care for my family members, and that is what I can assure for your family! If there is a task that I am unsure of how to properly perform, I will always ask for clear instruction. I have also completed a CNA training course and will be certified on October 13, 2018. I am also CPR certified.

I currently work in an assisted living facility as the lead Medication Technician on the memory care unit. I administer medications, give insulin shots, take vitals, and keep narcotics records up to DHEC standards. I have a lot of experience working with Alzheimer's, dementia, traumatic brain injuries, etc. I'm finding that my work is becoming a bit too stressful with school. I'd love to find a job caring for just one or two elderly adults. I enjoy making crafts, cooking healthy meals, and being outdoors. I love gardening and being and being around animals. I also have experience in the activities department.

I would describe my personality very timid until i get to know then I'm like a sunflower. Expertise that help me be a great caregiver are my compassionateness and my love for elderly, and my good listening ear. What attracted me to become a caregiver was the bond that you develop when working with different clients and the great stories they tell about their past! Hey my name is Maggie Fitch! I am a student at Anderson University and am home for the summer. I live with my parents and elderly grandmother and uncle. I am understanding and knowledgeable about assisting the elderly. I am able to drive and pick up groceries, talk, plan meals or give medication.

I have years of experience working with the elderly and disabled population. However more important I have a dedication to this population in ensuring they are maintaining a quality of life. I want to do more than just my 9-5 job but help those caregivers from time to time that are in need of extra help and or a break.

I've done nursing for over 25 years. Recently lost my son on July 3rd 2020 or cardiac arrest at age 22 and have taken care my mom whom passed with cancer. I've also taken care of my father who passed with alzheimer's . I know I'm here for a reason to share my heart with those who need me not just for them but for our heavenly father .
