My mom had Alzheimer's for 12!years and I helped take care of her so she could remain at home. After she passed away I thought it would be helpful to assist others in their homes. So later in the years I decided to pursue with being a caregiver. Then afterwards I received my CNA license to help with my skills more. Been in the health care field approximately 10years.

Hello my name is latoria I'm a certified nursing assistant I've been in the field for 3 to 4years and I love it I became a caregiver when my grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009 I took care of her until she passed in 2011 every since then i enjoy taking care of peopler just being there for them whenever they need someone to talk to. I became a caregiver because I love helping people and I love seeing people with smiles on there faces. I had a consumer that was severally disable and everyone shun her and her family really didn't really take no time with her. I help her overcome some of the obstacles that was in her way and taught how to work this new computer system for kids that are mute and can't grab or grasp and I worked with her and she learned it and was one of the top in her class. I love showing people no matter whatt situation you are in its nothing that you can't accomplish.
