Work well under pressure with humbled patience to others. Great attitude, friendly, hard working, trustworthy, great listener and critical thinker with the ability to carry out specific tasks. I enjoy being a caregiver, having the ability and skills to take care of others is a blessing, I enjoy the companionship of talking or just listening. Hello, My name is Helen Robinson, I have lived in the DFW area about 7 years now by way of Virginia. I started caregiving shortly before I moved to Texas and instantly LOVED it. I thought how lucky am I to find my calling at 22yrs old. Once I started my giving personality took the lead. I learned that I had such neverending patience with situations I was faced with and that alone carried me through allowing me to fully understand each individuals circumstances and meet those needs the best way fit for the client. Being a caregiver has been so naturally rewarding in itself. Being able to help and seeing the relief that such help provided to families and their loved ones is truly what motivated me to keep helping and soon became what I enjoyed most. Being a caregiver has allowed me to personally achieve wonderful relationships with many people and long lasting friends. I truly feel I'm making a difference by helping as much as I can and I hope to continue to grow and help many more!!
I have been helping seniors and people with disabilities to remain healthy at home for the last seven years. I specialize in Eldercare, dementia, Alzheimer's and Hospice Care and am now living in the DFW area. I am a PCA and not affiliated with a home health agency but an individual and limited to a small number of clients. I serve a vital function in support of seniors and people with disabilities living independently in their homes, but who need assistance with daily tasks. There is of course frequent person-to-person contact in this job, and I become very important to my client and close to their family. I have worked in Hawaii, Oregon, New Mexico and Texas.
I started out as a candy striper.Volunteering in nursing homes and hospitals .I realize that helping people was something I wanted to do. In 1999 I went to school and became a CNA I have been working as one for the last 18years. I love being a CNA the reason being is knowing at the end of the day o have helped someone that could not help they self.Or I have brighten someone day by just talking to them .Just making a difference in some one life means so much to me.
I am a caregiver with the big heart it takes to do this job. I am very caring & loyal with integrity. I am responsible & rearely miss work. I take my work serious. I possess what it takes to be a great caregiver & I've been told this a lot by those I have taken care of & those whom I still work for.
I know that i am a great caregiver because i watched my mom choose my grandmother's caregiver and when i had to choose a caregiver for my dad i used the same system and then when i became a caregiver 15 years ago i was blessed to be hired to take care of a husband & wife and i said the best way to be a great caregiver is to say treat someone like they are your loved ones. And i always do that. Helping people have the best quality of life regardless of circumstances is my mission statement.
