I make a great caregiver because of my current and past experience with Alzheimer's and dementia patients/clients. I was attracted to the caregiver profession because I have always been a Caregiver my entire life. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the smile on my client's face and the bond between our friendships. I am personally proud of my ability to stick to my position as an Alzheimer's and dementia caregiver, when others have quit or done a poor job with people that needed them. I was taught by my grandparents to respect my elders and that my elders are (wiser then thou) with that in mine I go beyond the call of duty to care my clients. If I should ever need care, I hope to be treated with the same care and dignity I treat my clients.

I believe the qualities that make me a great caregiver are patience, compassion and attentiveness. These qualities are essential in assisting a patient at their bedside in their time of need. As stressful it can be for someone who no longer has the physical ability they once had, there needs to be someone who is understanding and empathetic to their desires to ensure comfort. My interest in becoming a caregiver comes from being the one my grandparents call on for help. I strongly believe in giving back to the community and equal effort for all ages of those in stand in the need of care. My enjoyment stems from seeing interacting and seeing my patients smile. I'm proud of the fact that step by step I'm making an impact on my patients as they always ask to see me again. Once I secure the peace of mind in my patients' families hearts and minds, my job is complete.

I have been in the health care industry for the last twelve years. I'm a mother of three teenage boys and have also have had my cna since 2007 and am very happy in my career and enjoy what I do. Touching hearts, lending a helping hand and meeting the needs of others has helped me realize my true purpose in life.

1. I have always enjoyed working with people. Healthcare is a forever growing field with many satisfactions by helping others; live life to greater potentials, restore health in times of need, aid in ADLs for better quality of life, and so many more fulfilling reasons whether by educating, assisting, or actively caring for others. 2. There is always something more to learn! The experience is very rewarding when you see the gratitude coming from those that are unable to do for themselves, even when helping with the smallest of things. 3. A personal achievement that I am proud of is continuing my education within healthcare. Having a family and working while trying to improve myself (through education) and the life of my family is very difficult at times but teaches my children to persevere, strengthens me personally, and teaches my family that work together during tough times only strengthens our bond as a family team! 4. I always seem to do things the difficult way, like going back to school 10 years after graduating and after starting a family (3 kids and spouse), but I am not one to quit or give up easily. I don't care to settle when I can improve. I want my kids to learn from my mistakes and be inspired by my achievements. Family is everything and I enjoy being a part of the lives of those I care for...they are like extended family. I truly believe in God, Karma, and the Love of Family.

I'm Teresa I'm a Christian my faith is very important to me, I'm patient and caring. CPR Certified, BLS, first aid, TB tested. I Care for elderly any age patient in their home. Performing the following tasks: Vital signs, Changed bed linens, washed laundry, cleaned patients quarters, assists patient into and out of bed, automobile or wheelchair and to the restroom. Assists patient with dressing, bathing and grooming. Reminding them to take medication, maintaining records of services performed and condition of patient.
