My name is Kandis and I have 4 daughters and 12 grandchildren and one great grand-daughter. I have adopted my 5th grand-daughter and have been raising her since she was 18 months old. I love the lord and I love being a caregiver. I worked with Alzheimer's and Dementia for 16 years.

My personality traits are that I am an honest person, I take full responsibility of my work, while at work. I can adapt to the people I work with, and who I work for. I can get along with others very easily. I'm very compassion with the elderly, and very understanding as to their needs. I have lots of courage in learning , and doing my job well, I also am patience, and I'm very loyal to others and to myself. What attracted me to being a caregiver, was how I would see how my mother would care alot for my grandmother, and see how she enjoy being so attentive to her and caring and how my grandmother was so ease and comfortable, and made things easy on my mother, and that's how I decided to be a caregiver, because I saw that as long as you treat your elderly the right , respectful way, it will be an easy job taking care of them, and they start feeling very comfortable and at ease with you and they start trusting you. What I enjoy most of being a caregiver is that if you work for the elderly and care for them and be on point, your will mostly enjoy their company and their stories, thats what they will enjoy the most, having someone there , to listen to them , their companionship. My personal achievement is becoming a Medical Assistant, because I know with my license it can get me in the door with helping the elderly, which are the important people we need to care for, as they as young adults once cared for us , while we were kids.
